Listen,

I am well aware that BSPN First Take does not count as an actual source of any credibility. I am at work, completely caught up and was using my Slingbox to watch some TV. I rolled past ESPN2 and heard this:

Stephen A Smith seriously just said "Tom Brady has a tendency to not show up against elite defenses". Then proceeded to use the "Seahawks were all injured" excuse as to why Brady shredded them.

I think people forget that Brady gave us the LEAD in both of the Super Bowls we lost.

listening to him as I write this...
"Denver, at the Jets , at the Giants Patriots will lose.." this comes after a screaming denoiuncement of Brady where he calls him a choker because the Pats lost to the Giants and Brady has never played against a real tough defense and won..Seattle doesn't count because Sherman, Chancellor and Thomas were "crippled"...I mean this turd is exactly the scum saucking cretin I have been railing against. Pure unadulterated hatred for Brady and the NEP

Smith is a joke, just an obnoxious mouth piece for espn..

He doesn't believe a word of what he's saying, he's just saying it for shock value to drive ratings per usual..

The only time I ever watch espn is on Monday night football, and I turned the KC v GB game off last night in the 3rd quarter

Why would anyone listen to ANYTHING Stephen A is saying in the first place. But while we are asking, I wonder what Stephen A would say to explain the playoff failures of Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning over the years.

Bwaahahaha

Not counting the three of the most epic come backs in playoffs history vs two historically great Ds. But I guess we all know that and we all know Smith knows it too. He just works for ESPN and is ordered to ignore facts for a better rating.

You talked about it here. So he suceeded. Shows like that are not about being factually correct. It's an entertainment show. It's about getting views and clicks. It doesn't matter if people watch it because they think they are watching an idiot, or because they agree. It's the same click and view.

A lot of the time it's not their actual opinion in shows like this. They play their role, and to that role they have to have certain opinions. Because a show where both guy says "Yup. He's great and no one is close" isn't an interesting show for most viewers.

Not to mention I believe all 3 01 Rams, 03 Panthers, & 04 Eagles were all top ten defenses those years with the Eagles the second rated D that year.

Don't forget the 04' Steelers in the playoffs - 1st ranked defense that year
