Super Bowl 50 prediction......

Watching this game with my already large distaste of the Packers makes me realize something.

I want to play these guys in the SB. And I want us to beat the **** out of them.

Not sure what more motivation Brady needs than to get another SB ring in the town (close enough) of his boyhood hero and to finally put to rest the whole QB GOAT discussion.

I'm not punching our ticket just yet but I think from the NFC it will be one of Arizona, Dallas or Green Bay. Arizona has the best defense out of the three by far. It's all about which team clicks at the right moment, though.

ridicolous bad karma thread. The pats have made it look easy over 15 yrs but I take nothing for granted each year.Getting to the big game requires a lot of luck and health.

Agreed. Keep in mind that when you have the goal of starting at least 4 threads a day, not all are going to be winners.

Contenders

Patriots
Packers
Seahawks(yes still)
Arizona
Steelers* (maybe..)

That is about it for teams that are really in it.

I'll go Pats over Packers.

SEA v NE, SEA will go in and beat the packers in january

Pats 43....the other team....21

Idk as good as Green bay is im thinking Arizona squeaks by them in the NFC championship game.
Pats vs. cardinals

I don't even think it's a squeak. Assuming Palmer is there all season, I like Arizona, at home, (and it would be a home game), by 10, at least. Their secondary is frickin awesome, and can cover Green Bay's receivers all day.

Now, if they were to face NE in the Super Bowl, I'd like New England because of Gronkowski and Chandler matching up on their midget safeties.

It's week 3 guys, don't be putting up a thread like this

Why not? What's your prediction for SB50? Surely you're picking the Pats? There's absolutely nothing wrong with being confident about the Pats' chances. Especially when it's this Pats team, while the rest of the NFL looks like crud this year.

Ugh. All this talk about 'karma' and bad ju-ju is nothing more than modern day superstition. You really think the fate of the Pats team depends on what some fans write in online message boards?

I agree 100% with your point about health and associated luck. But trust you me, the attitude of fans like us has less than 0 impact (causal or otherwise) on how well the Pats do this year.

well thanks, MC...you just ruined my entire platform of existence....

This is to keep the players focused. The fans can talk about the super bowl all they want. It's okay, don't worry, you can talk past the next 13 games without it affecting the teams performance.

:D My bad, J! Its the burden of the causal determinist.

If it helps, I was just cautioning against treating karma as a boogeyman. Of course, the enthusiasm and actions of fans does impact the team's performance, if only somewhat. This is directly applicable in the stadium on gameday, much less so for what's said in online forums though.

If all things go right, i see no reason why it wont be Pats vs GB/AZ
