I wonder how many people have thought about the Giants this season. Do you guys realize the last 2 times the Pats have had to play the NFC East in the regular season 2007 and 2011, its been the Giants to upset the Pats in the Super Bowl. What do you guys think? They have the ultimate guy for the circus catches, and the Pats play @ Giants in November, should be interesting.

They don't have the D line now that they used to have but they have a great offense, and Tom Coughlin is Belichick's kryptonite.....this has me worried.

I listen to WEEI everyday all day, and they have not mentioned the Giants once or acknowledged the fact that the last 2 times we have played the NFC east in the regular season we have lost those super bowls.

Here's the thing. I know a lot of people been comparing this years offense to 07, and im not sure which one is better, but i can tell you that with the way Brady been getting rid of the ball quickly, that neutralizes any pass rush.

Exactly, that's what killed the pats vs the Giants is their pass rush. I think this offense is better to win vs defensive strong teams but not sure how we are vs good offenses yet. 07 had big strike potential, 2015 is more of a ball control offense

please let this happen. we will humiliate them!!
eli is a fraud, he's nothing without strahan/tuck/osi/etc

The second one against the Giants was mostly bad luck with 50/50 balls and a good bit of drops from our wide receivers. Their pass rush didnt get to brady much from what I can remember, only 2 sacks on the day but not sure how many QB hits.

Time for everyone's favorite game! WHEEL! OF! IGNORE!!!

It's just something to think about while we have 2 weeks off of pats football, and I dont think anyone has brought it up yet.

The problem with the 2007 offense (if you want to call it that) was that, if I remember right, you needed to give Moss a few seconds to get going before the ball was thrown. Those few seconds were where the Giants pass rush got through.

This year's offense is different. Brady gets rid of it much faster. I would hope, if it happens again where we need 4 points to win the Super Bowl, Brady would take the sure yards underneath and let the guys do their thing over throwing 4 straight bombs to Moss (or whoever this year in this scenario) hoping for one last huge play.

People keep saying that, but it's not really correct. Welker was on that team, and nobody's ever gotten open faster than Welker was getting open. The problem with the 2007 offense was that

Brady
Neal
TEs
Faulk

were all hurt, to one degree or another, in that SB, and that really impacted the team's ability to work the line and deal with pressure. After all, while people forget, this was the same Giants team that the Patriots had hung 38 points on just a few weeks before.

Tom Coughlin is Belichick's kryptonite.
That's overstating things a bit. I don't think any coach is BB's "kryptonite," although Coughlin knows him quite well and can be a formidable foe if he has the right ammunition (as we've seen).

JS you bring up an interesting point. As we all know, sometimes all you need to win a SB is luck and if Eli is anything he's lucky. He does have Odell who doesn't even need his helmet to catch the ball since he can catch it with the tips of his fingers.

I agree that the game with the Giants will be interesting since I'm no longer worried about the Cowboys game.

Although they were slightly more difficult than Samuel's, I'm pretty sure that both Meriweather and Harrison each dropped interceptions on that same drive.

The Giants are really bad this year guys. Their only pass rusher blew his fingers off. They have meriweather as one of their safety's. Their coaching staff is completely brain dead in late game situations if you have been paying attention. The monkey is off our back, we will destroy this team.

I don't think the Giants make it past Arizona, Seattle or GB........though I won't shed any tears if the Giants don't make the playoffs............
