Prediction – Bye Week Trade Coming…

Too early for a trade. No team is going to admit their season is over this early. The Pats won't make a trade until late October.

Joe Haden is playing really badly this year. Brandon Marshall and Amari Cooper have destroyed him. Marshall went 5/5 and Cooper 6/6.

I think Suh would fit under the cap....

Shannon crap for brains Sharpe might actually really call the National Guard to impose the Patriots under Martial Law, for crimes against humanity, if Suh were ever a team member.;):D

Haden had been playing, by all accounts, at a high level for a long time. Maybe there comes a time when even the best players will start to deteriorate when they play for really horrible franchises. Just look at how refreshed Sheard looks so far. It must be like breathe of fresh air for hin to play in this system after so many years of dismal failure.

What we need to happen is over the next month Hayden's value continue to drop to the point where Cleveland will take the cap dump to get rid of him. Now in NE, with only half a year's salary on this year's cap, and fully ready to be the shut down CB he is, we get another one year rental to spark a superbowl run, and Haden gets as new rep and a chance to reboot his career after we cut him.

That's the only way we can get Haden here. We could probably make the contract work for this year, but this year only. If he was on the team at the start of the new year, his contract would wreck our cap.

I don't understand whether people here seriously think we will trade for a player that gets a #1 CB paycheck.

Personally I strongly doubt that there will be a big trade. If something happens it will most likely be on the same level as Ayers or Casillas last year or Keshawn Martin this season.

How about another big, long tackle in the mold of Solder or Vollmer? If one of those guys goes down, we have some depth issues. I realize our interior line is playing great, but do we really have a decent backup tackle to take on those edge rushers? How about a decent veteran?

Haden speculation is on par with the annual Fitzgerald speculation. It ain't happening. He's too good, too beloved, too expensive to be traded.

What might be happening is this:

He was ok last year, but great (I remember him playing great against Denver). He has a cheap salary and is on a one year deal.

PLUS 49ers has a lot of holes. We could sway them with one of our reserves/back ups or Draft Picks

I still think corner's the way to go if they make a trade. Gilbert or keenan Lewis would interest me.

Shortly after the 49ers put cornerback Shareece Wright on the inactive list for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals, Wright posted “politics as usual” on Twitter in an apparent reference to the team’s choice.

I am somewhat surprised that suddenly Ryan is better than Browner as an outside corner. After all, it Ryan who is our starter.

I would be opposed it. He's not worth close to what he is being payed by the saints. He's a very limited corner that really needs that #1 cb on the other side so you can afford to roll safety suport to his side when he looses coverage. Without a Revis or Sherman on the other side he struggles. He becomes a liability. Sure. He delivers some big hits. But add his penalty yards, and there are a lot of them, to his allowed receiving yards and you won't have a pretty picture.

Bye week trades yay \o/ I want....I want .....

I would much rather have Ryan at his salary than Browner for what he is payed, which is about $5M.

League sources tell @FieldYates and I the #Bears have traded linebacker Jon Bostic to the #Patriots. Compensation unknown.

Field Yates @FieldYates
From @****ersonESPN & me: the Bears have traded LB Jon Bostic to the Patriots, per league sources.

EDITS:
Mike Loyko @NEPD_Loyko
Bostic played ILB for Florida and played OLB last year with the Bears. Good athlete with a sturdy frame. Pats liked him in 2013 draft

Mike Reiss @MikeReiss
Jon Bostic, 6-foot-1, 245 pounds, Played in college at Florida. Entered NFL as 2nd-round pick of Bears in 2013 under prior regime.

Interesting. I was hoping for kyle fuller lol

Oh oh, LB not DB what do we do now?

Do what we always do. Trust in BB. Maybe the dealings aren't over?

I agree with you 100%, the guy knows what he is doing. Not worried in the least. I think we have an awesome team, not "perfect" but good enough to win.
