Please Belichick, please trade for the beast!!!

Make this happen. The Saints are in fall down mode. Make this happen. Make this happen. Makes too much sense to not happen.

How's his play of late been?

Yeah but that doesn't mean they want to have a long rebuild necessarily. If it only costs us 700k they are probably on the hook for a lot.

Why not give them Logan Ryan along with a draft pick in return? There's a thought. Young player who has struggled but could maybe be revived elsewhere. Would have to see what it would possibly cost for New Orleans to get rid of him though.

Definitely have to see these numbers but it would be a huge pick up. Not sure Ryan has much value.

Did show potential in his rookie year before falling off and would have much more value than Fletcher as everyone knows what Fletcher is at this point.

Ryan is still a young player. Remember that Darius Butler was pretty much useless in New England and now has become a somewhat decent corner in Indy (all be it not very good but still) Ryan and Butler remind me of each other in many ways. Both showed flashes their rookie years then did nothing after that.

How about Jerod Mayo? Dude recently took a pay cut, and hasn't played many snaps lately

I would consider it but I am unsure whether or not Lewis is worth THAT much to jettison a longtime defensive leader. Then again who knows.

I like Lewis and made several posts about wanting the Pats to trade for him in the off-season.

Just gotta hope he'd be cool with coming here. He was born and raised in New Orleans and was really happy his old buddy Browner joined him there in the off-season.

Also, he just re-did his contract in March:

Although the Saints signed Graham to a huge contract then traded him a year later. So I guess nobody is truly safe.

Saints are in full demolition mode. They will trade literally everyone, even Brees if they got a good offer.

Yes, that contract would make a lot of sense for the Patriots. The problem is that for the same reason, it makes such little sense for the Saints to trade him. He's gotten three signing bonuses in three years, meaning the 2016 Saints would go from being a bad team with cap problems to being a worse team with worse cap problems if they trade him before then. They're not in a position to be using up additional cap room in order to get rid of a quality player unless they're getting something significant in return (which is why this is different than Jimmy Graham's situation), and the Pats aren't exactly in a position to be giving up more high draft picks.

Highly doubtful.

Coleman needs to be given a chance in a few more games. There may not be a need for a trade.
That might have played a role in why they played Coleman a lot yesterday. If he melted, they might be looking at things differently.

Brown didn't play and Ryan took all his snaps. Was Ryan being showcased against a weak opponent for a potential trade?
