NFL Week 3

Just wondering if anyone on the Broncos is a dentist.

You have more confidence in Peyton than I do once the leaves change. The weather is warm and nice now and he's already struggling. Wait until its 38 and drizzling in November.

I still think he's better then half of the quarterbacks in the league. He has always been a good season qb until the playoffs.

I finally understand why the other teams, the League, and fans hate the Patriots. The Patriots go out and handle their business. These other teams are a freakin' mess. Did anyone really think Detroit could pull that game off? They're fumbling, throwing interceptions and committing drive killing penalties. It's awful football and frustrating to watch.

If you are into reading the those idiotic power rankings expect to see the Broncos leap frog the Pats now. Some of the idiots that do those were waiting for a game like this where Manning looks statistically good.

Or they pull off...... Actually on second thought no, no they won't do that. At best they keep it close for most of the game and blow it in typical Lion fashion and lose by 14-17 points.

I don't mean to toot my own horn but BEEP BEEP

Stafford might be cutler's long lost brother lol. Detroit might be in the same situation as the bears.

Denver loses vs GB, Indy, NE, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh. 11-5.

Peter King was idiotic enough to put the Broncos as his #1 team after week 1.

Denver Seattle Arizona up next for Detroit. ****ing brutal. Lions are toast if they can't win 2 out of 3.

And then @Green Bay and @KC on the horizon (although the @KC game is technically in London, so that helps).

It isn't going to be Detroit's year.

EDIT: Sorry to our poster known as "KC." Didn't mean to tag you.

Patriots Opponents: 5-1 in non-Pats games
Broncos Opponentd: 1-4 in non-Broncos games

They have no business whatsoever leapfrogging the NEP, but just about everywhere I've seen already had them in the top 3-4-5 teams. Aside from NE at #1, I'd have GB as #2, ARZ at #3, CIN at #4, and DEN at #5.

You mention Manning looking statistically good tonight, but he threw 3 touchdowns last week @Arrowhead stadium as well, even though he didn't look as crisp or hit on as many downfield throws. Of course, as you mention, his higher completion percentage makes things look better tonight.

I don't think anyone should be losing sleep over a team like Denver, but there were some here who suggested some type of downfall with them, which was ridiculous. They'll almost certainly head into their bye week at 6-0.

Even if they only go 6-4 after that, they still end up 12-4 for the year and likely battling for one of the two byes.

The combination of Manning's cerebral ability (as you saw when he threw the last TD pass) and experience reading pre-snap looks PLUS the very good defense certainly make them something of an AFC contender.

First rounders usually seem to be busts. Like those that are in the 6th round are hits like Joe Montana and Tom Brady of course!

Why did the Chiefs have to choke so hard last week? God d%#*!@t I'm so pissed off.

As good as their defense is, particularly at home, they just can't put enough together offensively to push them over the hump, at least in my opinion.

We'll know more about the real KC after tomorrow night, but in the meantime, I'd list them in the "pretender" category, rather than "contender" category. It sucks they couldn't pull off the upset last Thursday night, though.

Remember when Kaepernick was the next great NFL QB?
