I am thinking they will bring in a CB, I do not think it will be Joe Haden, but I do think it will be a solid NFL CB.
I was just using him as an example as in we are not going to be bringing in an all pro player, more like a Marcus Cooper or at best a Jason McCourty. Is Joe Haden reportedly on the trade block or something? That's a pretty big contract to take on, and would surely cost a fair amount in trade compensation--probably a 2nd.
Or were you just using that example meaning that "it won't be anything like a Joe Haden?"
I'm more inclined to think it will be a younger player who is not currently being utilised as best he should be. It'll be the DB version of the Martin acquisition. Is Joe Haden reportedly on the trade block or something? Mayo for Mccourty makes the most sense.

Unlikely for the opposite reason of most of these guys. He'd fit nicely under the Pats' cap, but that's because trading him would be a nightmare for the Saints' cap.I love keenan lewis but idk his cap situation
"Only" $6.8M is salary that would follow him and 18.75 % has been paid already. Not that I think he'll be traded but the new team's hit would be closer to $5.25M.LMAO. Yeah Jason McCourty who has a $8.6 million cap hit....http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/tennessee-titans/jason-mccourty/
Exactly. The Pats are thin at linebacker, but because Mayo doesn't seem to be playing at his peak, let's get rid of him! Doesn't seem smart to me.Cap Wise its a killer and doesn't work for the Pats. Also why are people so eager to move Mayo. Keep the LB depth, it will be needed at some point
I think he's been able to address trade issues at the bye because the Pats have had the bye later in the season lately. Seems a bit early for teams to know if or who they want to jettison already.Belichick loves to address team needs during the bye week via trade. Last season we incorporated Ayers, Branch, and Casillas around the bye.
