Danny Amendola

I love the way he is playing so far, no drops, solid route running, big catches. I'm a huge Edelman guy and was bashing DA the last two years, but with Edelman being so good on the outside, i think DA will continue to be a dangerous weapon for us this year in the slot. He seems to be gaining a lot more trust from Brady.

Very happy to eat crow about this guy.

What's up with DA giving up that TB 400th TD ball??

I think the possession receiver is so critical to the offense that having DA allows the team to keep rolling if something ever happened to Edelman.

Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola are both quick enough to almost catch a cat.

Amendola never lacked talent or production. He lacked injury luck. If he can stay on the field, he is a very good weapon out there.

I doubt Brady cares.

Dudes a warrior. Would take him over welker any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I would like to see DA get even more touches. At this pace, Edelman is going to be completely exhausted by November.

I'm assuming you're joking about Minitron, but I like your hope that DA gets more snaps. If either Martin or Dobson steps up, though, I'd be happy. Let Edelman tear them up in the post-season.

I am somewhat serious. I know he is durable and that getting hit a ton is his job, but it wouldn't be the worst thing to see his targets drop off slightly in hopes he'll be a little more rested later in the season. I wonder if that's the plan with why he isn't returning punts now. Edelman gets a lot of targets and hits...he is human.

Let me start by saying I like the role that Amendola has taken on as a member of the Patriots, especially at a reduced salary this season. I am pleased with what he has done stepping up in big situations.

That withstanding I think you're short changing just how productive Welker was in his time here. He had more catches, yards, and touchdowns in his last seasons here than Amendola has in his Patriots tenure. That's not a knock on Amendola he plays a less prolific role, but Welker was a beast in his time here.

Scary thing is that I'm pretty sure they only have to get through 2 more games without LaFell.

I think he does and he should. He's the ultimate team player, but revelling in 400 tds and getting the ball are things that should happen.
