Ranking every Tom Brady/BB team

2004 ....hands down dominating. Brady emerged. Dillon rumbled. They owned the 4th quarter and teams had no answer.
2007.....one play from perfection
2003.....I expected a trophy starting in preseason and BB delivered
2014......Dominating Gronk, skilled CB play......would have ranked them higher if they didn't need to resort to gimmicks to defeat the Ravens.
2001......Can't call this team dominating given Brady's "caretaker' job description but they found a way to win
All other seasons are a blurrrrrrrr. I see Caldwell in my night terrors.

I'm only going to do the top 5:

2003
2004
2014
2001
2007

I think the 2001 team is being over rated too. And yes, I realize they won a championship, but I think there may be two other non championship winning teams that are better.

2004
2014
2003
2001
2007

You are severely over rating the 06 team. Held together with duct tape and inferior players.
I don't think so. That team was extremely tough. Another team that came a catch away from a super bowl.

I would say:

2004
2003
2014
2007
2012
2010
2011
2001
2006
2005
2013
2009
2002

Best team is the one that does it in the field.

I have a hard time deciding between the 03 and 04 teams. I felt our defense might have been better in 03 with Ty Law, Ted Washington and Tyroone Poole having a career year, but the 04 team was dominate from day 1, plus you had clock killing Corey Dillon. BB best trade acquisition.

Also, can't forget the run we had last year. That was a brutal scheduale, and after Kansas City, that team was dominate.

Both teams led at half in AFC Championship game. And both were undone by injuries/illness in second half.
12 got blown out at home in the second half. 06 almost won on the road.

Never forget the refs in 06. That is still a sb year stolen from us imho. That game probably inspired jump ball joe tactics seen today.

I'm surprised 2009 isn't being ranked dead last by everyone. I'd put that team dead last. They still had a lot of talent but had absolutely no heart. I'll never forget in BB's A Football Life how disgusted they were with the team's lack of desire to compete. We lost to just about every playoff potential team that year and got blown out by New Orleans.

I give 2006 a lot of props because that team competed hard and played way above their talent.

Another shout out for a completely talent-depleted, yet full of warriors team: 2013. If only they could have kept that steam going for a couple more games.

2003 my be my favorite Pats team ever. Tom was becoming the great QB we all know. The defense was amazing, they had three shutouts and with Ted Washington in the middle they were impossible to run against. Ty Law, Tyrone Poole, Eugene Wilson and Rodney Harrison I believe the best secondary we ever had. They so won 15 games in a row. 2004 is a very close 2nd followed by 2014 and 2001.

I don't get it, why isn't 2004 #1?

I always think it's funny because if that 06 team doesn't choke against indy then Peyton doesn't win his ring and maybe he never gets one.

How effin' impressive is this list....regardless of order lol

Seeing it all on paper is a nice little reminder of how lucky we, as fans of football, truly are. To maintain this level of excellence is just mind boggling. Considering it is done in this day where we not only have a salary cap, but a league hell bent on parity, it really is the most impressive run in all of football history!

#1 2004 (SB 39 champs)
#2 2007 (18-1)
#3 2014 (SB 49 champs)
#4 2010 (The season that should have been...)
#5 2003 (SB 38 champs)
#6 2006 (Choked in AFCCG)
#7 2011 (SB 46 loss)
#8 2001 (SB 36 champs)
#9 2012 (Great offense)
#10 2013
#11 2005
