Well that's surprising. Either his injury wasn't too bad, or maybe staff told him to man up?

Idk if they need him for this game. I want him healthy as possible for the dallas game.

I agree. I'd rather him sit another 10 days, but guess the injury wasn't too bad. Seeing how well our front did last week without him, can't believe they aren't being slightly more cautious.

On 3rd and long, I'd like our front 6 to be;

D. Hightower - J. Sheard - D. Easley - C. Jones

J Mayo and D. Hightower

We're giving up too many yards on the ground. I think Mayo can help there. And, we can
still get pressure on the qb.

Typical Patriot's cheating - now they've gone and cloned Hightower. :D

I assume you meant Mayo/Collins.

You're right. Ha. Mayo lined up a step behind Collins would allow us to move him around and blitz or cover.

I'd like him to get the reps myself. The previous 3 years all he's done is deal with significant injuries. Might help his confidence to shake off a minor one and get out on the field to contribute and play with his teammates.

You can get hurt whether your playing the Jags, Dallas or anybody else. I remember people talking all crazy about keeping Gronk out of the RS and saving him for the playoffs last year. No one was saying that after week 5.

1) Taking Collins off the field on 3rd and long will not happen unless Collins can't walk.

2) Also, 3rd and long is often a dime situation with ONE linebacker: Collins.

3) Finally, I don't think that Belichick thinks that Sheard is the best choice as an inside rusher.

He doesn't have Collins off the field. He just accidentally put Hightower's name twice

D. Hightower - J. Sheard - D. Easley - C. Jones

You'd sub Mayo for Collins on 3rd and long???

Ah, I see.

You realize he's in only his second year, right?

2 of his last 3 years at Fla. were marred by season ending ACL injuries and surgery, but yes, I do realize it's only his second pro season.

Of course we all know he was shelved at the end of last year. I'm just trying to convey I'd like to see our 2014 1st Rd pick get on the field with some consistency.
