Holy cow! I go onto http:jungle.jaguars.com to see what the opponents' fans are up to since I don't really have a handle on the Jaguars or their players. Every thread about the game devolves into a Deflategate argument.

Here's an example: http://jungle.jaguars.com/index.php?/topic/13668-what-are-patriots-fans-saying-about-us/page-3

Looking at that roster, there are a boatload of very good players drafted in the top ten from successful programs that won conferences and bowl games. I do not know how well they have come together as a pro team, especially with all the coaching turnover. The head coach is a great defensive mind who can handle all-pro egos. The ingredients for a very good team are certainly there.

But c'mon. At 1:00 p.m., they're going to play a football game, and the footballs will be the right PSI, so it comes down to blocking, tackling, throwing and catching. Reading this stuff just infuriates me about what the NFL and Goodell have done to the game.

Reading through that board one of their moderators (Jags02) seems like a real c**t

It's unreal reading all these excuses for cheating.

Saying "look how well Brady is doing now with properly inflated balls" doesn't mean he wasn't cheating last year when they totally thrashed on the Colts. Last year's Lombardi will always be tainted.

If they're dumb enough to buy into all of the NFL and BSPN propaganda then they are too dumb to argue with so I say "phuck 'em" because I don't feel the need to defend my team's ability to kick their team's arses anymore. I have a feeling Brady will be doing all the talking on the field from now on.

A lot of fans hate the Patriots. This isn't exactly breaking news. I live in Jax and, for the most part, the fans here are pretty reasonable.

Ever been to Jacksonville? Seriously. It is the Redneck capital of the Galaxy, and God forbid you get stuck at the airport for 9 hours at chilies and forced to talk to people after being in town for several days. I wouldnt expect much, other than beer and monster truck t-shirts. Lol

Sorry Kontradiction - just my observation after spending a week there for business.

And the Jaguars will always be losers in the minds of many.

Good to see a lot of posts from Pats fans on that board. None of this means a thing come Sunday. I do agree with one of their posts that it will come down to our DL vs their OL. But then again that just may be obvious.

No worries. Jax, for the most part, is a ****hole. The north and west sides are complete dumpster fires and there are shootings there almost every single day. Downtown is a wreck. The Baptists control that area and prevent things that can actually bring in money and push out the homeless (such as bars, clubs, shopping, etc.) from gaining a foothold. The southside and Jax Beach (where I live) are actually quite nice, though.

Maybe they should worry more about ways to fill their stadium.

What is going to compound this is Bradley is not someone who bothers to sugar his coverages. What you see is what you will get which is similar to Seattle except they had the talent to make that fact irrelevant.

Jax doesn't and we are just going to scheme them apart.

Our run D is a big problem, and their OL is underrated, but if we can hold on and stop those IZ runs, I don't see how this isn't a blowout or a victory by a comfortable margin. Jax running game will be good practice for us as they don't rely on evasion or trickery, just a break your tackle type of physical running.

So there's that...

Off topic but that gif is just beautiful, just look at the missile Brady launches down field, i love watching Brady launch missiles downfield cause that's what he does every time, you wanna know why Brady is goat watch em launch that missile (in your gif) down field for a 1st down against the "#1 defense in the nfl during the super bowl" haha

So there's that...

Normally i would disagree with that but its the JAGS so might be good for him to get some reps in and shake some rust off before the bye week i guess...

You guys take this WAY too seriously. When people say stuff like that, it's just trash talk. It's easy to use the cheating stuff because that's all that has been in the news recently it seems.

If you actually pay attention, most (not all, but definitely most) of the people who bring up cheating will also outline the fact that the Pats have been the most dominant team over the last 14 years and that they respect what they've done. Most want their team to model itself after NE.

It's really not that big of a deal, and when people bring it up I just laugh it off, and then get back to discussing actual football.

The few who are actually serious, I just ignore. Just like I ignore 9/11 truthers.

This thread title is in error.

You put an "s" after the term Jag fan.

I'd like to tell that to the Jaguars fans, but I don't really know either one of them.

:rimshot:

When you know an ass kicking is coming you get your excuses lined up early.

I always use the Jaguars as my textbook example of a team "nobody hates"

In other words, when I see people (on other boards) irrationally hating on the Patriots, I come back with something like: "People hate winners because deep down, they really just jealous of that team's success. Tons of people hate the Patriots. Nobody hates the Jaguars."
