Dexter Manley - "Tom Brady is Garbage"

I think the term "willfully ignorant" was created for sh¡t like this..

I didn't know he was still alive.

Pro-bowl-level player for a while, certainly helped out a Darrell Green in his early days.

So, huh. He's still alive. Who knew?

The "curse" continues.

They're prepping for his "A Football Life" special, which airs tomorrow night.

Prior to these comments, I was actually mildly interested in watching it. Now, not so much.

Just watched his Football Life special. Hell of a player. Had an addiction problem. I'll give him a pass, turned his life around. Addiction is a terrible disease.

Well Dexter achieved his goal with this.

Now people outside of DC know (for a few minutes) he still is alive and used to play football for some team.

He's just hoping they give him applesauce with his lunch today.
He's out of his mind but anyone who watched football in the 80's knows this guy. Over 100 sacks in 10 seasons.

The guy was great (he was mentioned in the same breath as Lawrence Taylor in his playing days) until he got kicked out for good. He's a nobody today in terms of opining on personal conduct, given how his career in the NFL ended. If he was serious (and I refuse to listen to see if he sounds serious), then who really cares.

The A Football Life episode on him tonight was not bad. He's not completely unlikable.

I think it's clear that many people posting here are very young, that's all. Those of us that remember him when he played, we recall Dexter Manley being an incredible player. For those of you that don't know who he is, consider these two links:

Manley was phenomenal. It's too bad his brain isn't working properly now, but his career made for quite a compelling story, really.

I don't know about very young. If you were 10 in 89 you would have seen his last game with the Skins. Today you would be 36.

More likely anyone who remembers seeing him play at least as a teenager is over 40 now.

He's not in the same zip code as LT. All pro and pro bowl one year- 1986. LT was an all pro 10 straight years.

Say what you want about Dexter Manley but.....No seriously say whatever you want, it's not like he can read this thread.

I heard the creators of "Meet The Press" are thinking of spinning off a Manley specific vehicle situated in Washington.."Meet The Moron"...the pilot will be filmed on a soundstage aboard the space station, Zipperhead...in geosynchronous orbit over Tierra Del Fuego...o_O

I really enjoyed AFL -Dexter Manley last night. I had forgotten how good he was. So quick. So powerful. So troubled.

Who cares about what Dexter Manley thinks?

Just remember: one man's "trash" is another man's treasure. The GOAT is our treasure. 8)
