Ok, since the bogus rumor that Boomer and Carton are spreading that Brady will serve a 4 game suspension this season is getting a little traction, it exposes how much of a fraud Boomer is. Today he said the following about the Brady appeal:

“What this person doesn’t realize,” WFAN host Boomer Esiason responded, “(is) that they all felt the same way prior to Judge Berman’s ruling. But what they didn’t know is that Judge Berman was going out to The Hamptons to hang out with (Patriots owner) Bob Kraft."

But this is what he said a few weeks ago on 98.5:

“I learned that maybe Roger Goodell has too much power,” said Esiason. “It’s now 0-5 in appeals when you get the law and courts involved. I would think the NFLPA has a major bargaining chip and major leverage, especially when you hear guys like [Atlanta Falcons owner] Arthur Blank, Robert Kraft and other owners eluding that they have to redo the system.

“Really the bigger picture is from the NFLPA,” he said. “Brady has done a big service for the rest of the players in the league.”

So on NY radio, Kraft bought off Judge Berman. On Boston radio, the NFL are overreaching their power and Brady is a hero to the NFL players. FRAUD!

Honestly, from what I can see Boomer's been pretty pro-Brady throughout this. His (lousy) show w/Carton tries to be comedy, so I'm assuming that was supposed to be funny (for the New York audience).

He has to say those things in NY after he won his SB with the Giants. ;) Being confused with Phill Simms always seems to get to him

Saw that this morning and wanted to punch him. But he did say it kind of smiling, but still...

I saw Boomer on national TV this week say Brady was the greatest of all time so I'll cut him some slack for his comments on NY radio

Was there a time when Boomer was relevant? Pretty sure I grew up watching this guy and he was basically a Phillip Rivers with a memorable name.
He was phenomenal in 1988. Otherwise forgettable.

Edit: after looking him up, he actually had a pretty good career, as has Phil Rivers of course. 9.2 YPA in '88. That's insane.

Could you have a serious conversation with a guy named Boomer? How about Bam Bam?

Just call me Boom Boom.

Is that his real name?

and what's wrong with Boomer?

the NFL illuminati has shot this whole thing down faster than it began.......

it's the lame-assed attempt at distraction story of the week

If IRC, he was one of the first really high percentage completion guys.

Wasn't Boomer Esiason the guy who when the CBS crew was talking about BB as possibly the greatest coach of all time - he then chimed in with "yeah but spygate"
