excerpt from article said:
Ryan is an emotional man and he coaches, often, from his heart instead of his head. (see next quote from the Iron Lady) He identifies with his players not as pieces on a board, but as friends and even family members. That attitude, led to a frathouse environment in the Jets’ locker room, where discipline was lacking and players lacked accountability.

quite a few: from the movie Iron Lady said:
Do you know, one of the greatest problems of our age is that we are governed by people who care more about feelings than they do about thoughts and ideas?
.....
Watch your thoughts,
they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
your actions, for they become habits.
your habits, for they become your character.
And watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.
we think, we become.

To state the obvious, Rex has become a failed blowhard.

BB has superior Emotional Intelligence, plans and executes everything down to the atomic level dispassionately.

After all that talk, he can't even be a man and look BB in the eye as he's "shaking his hand" after the game. If you're going to boast and talk big before the game, at least acknowledge your counterpart when he beats you and congratulate him like a real man, not like a whiny 8 year old who didn't get what he wanted. Like father, like son.

I can't agree on that point. One thing I appreciate about Rex is that he doesn't whine and make excuses like Tomlin or Harbaugh. He flat-out said he was outcoached last week.

That's just his act. He sees himself as bigger than the players and thinks it's manly to faux take the responsibility for the loss. He needs to discipline his players not be their buddy/cheerleader.

Just to be proactive for when the Bills fire Rex...

Hey Dolphins, Rex is not the Droid you seek

Hey Rats, there were NO glory days from Rex's tenure, do not be tempted to rehire him.

Get this BB stalking blowhard out of the AFC East!

After the win in week one he gave a game ball to the GM for hiring him. Does he now take the ball back?

I don't know guys, I mean his team just lost the Super Bowl a few days ago... They came within 8 points! They have to be pretty good.

Oh, you're telling me that was actually just Week 2? My mistake...

You are making the most common mistake Americans make when trying to understand the role of emotion in our lives. It isn't that BB is unemotional. He is intensely emotional. He cares about football so much that he generates the discipline and habit to channel that emotional energy into excellence.

Every human thought and achievement starts with emotion. The trick isn't to be less emotional; that just leads to being flat. The trick is to be more emotional and channel it productively.

I agree - emotions need to be directed constructively. Some do this well and others fail at it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I have never heard Rex use any "gate" issue to explain his record against BB. He always says he got out coached etc.... "I didn't come here to kiss his rings"...

Sure you can say you got out coached in the press conference, but does he say that when face to face with the guy who beat you? Especially when you act up before the game and tell people I'm not going to kiss his rings? Don't get me wrong, an attitude of not bowing to competition is good. It's just that people who have a tendency to constantly say that to the press and not to the man's face, well that's showboating and acting tough to me.

If you choose to act that way, don't shrink away from your opponent after he kicks your ***

I believe that went to all of those who chanted WE WANT BRADY.... WE WANT BRADY.....

Then he later said his mistake was to think his DL could win the matchup with our OL, that is, It was my fault because I thought my players were better.
Then he proceeded to blame the refs.
Not sure what you are seeing, but saying he was outcoached by BB in that game was like saying the sun rose that day. The whining was there.

He just blamed the refs for this game.

I've said in other posts that by coaching his team to two consecutive AFCCGs and having a 22-14 record over that span does show that he can have success in this league. I would argue that he did it with Mangini's guys but that's besides the point.

Since 2011 he is 27-38 and has not made the playoffs in four seasons. That sucks.

In those years he either has not had the talent or is not a very good coach.

He is vastly overrated as a defensive genius.

Hell Barry Switzer won a SB with the 95 Cowboys. That proves anyone can be a HC with a ton of talent.

I think this BUF team has good talent. They may not be a Super Bowl contender but they do seem to have the ability to make the playoffs.

If they have a losing record this year Rex has next year to try and put it together.

Your right. I forgot about the refs. 'I guess they came here to watch them' or something like that.

Harbaugh and Tomlin both insinuated that the Pats cheated.

I guess the Ref statement could be an insinuation of cheating.

I don't think Belichick is ever very interested in a dramatic post game handshake or conversation, to be honest.

I think he now realizes it was a mistake to tell a Bills team it's their Super Bowl. Next time he'll tell them it's a meaningless Week 17 game for better results.

Not looking for anything dramatic. I hope looking someone in the eye while shaking hands isn't considered dramatic nowadays.
