He'll just have to do better next week.

Seriously, i'd prefer a slow burn and efficient use of all weapons to prepare for the preseason. Screw a revenge tour and screw player of the week [who cares] awards.

Win games, use the whole roster, experiment with stuff you can use later...and just in case the Ravens are even in it, come up with some devastating keystone cops formations to torment them.

You need to have some fun.

Brady only set a new record against the Jill's, first player in NFL history to play 100 career games with at least 1 TD and no interceptions... no biggie!

Yup. Forgot about that one

I just sent an e-mail to NFL offices on Park Avenue.

I'll let you guess what I had to say to them.I finished by informing them that , as a citizen of the US, I want the feds to fully investigate their heirarchy and have formed a coalition of like minded citizens that will petition our federal representatives to push for action to that end.

Such scummy little picayune douchebags.

Don't worry....Player of the Month is a lock........unless Alex Smith somehow finds a WR in the end zone....then all bets are off

This is an outrage! A complete traveshamoc....

No. I can't do it. I can't muster up any ****s to give about this. Enjoy it, Ben. You don't get many victories over Brady, so bask in it for a while. :)

I'd give you a dislike except your King of Dislikes so I gave you a like!

Forgive my ignorance...WHO does the voting/nominating/selecting for these weekly awards?
Is this the one that is voted on by fans on nfl.com?

If that is the case then we can forget about Brady or any other Patriot ever winning it for the foreseeable future.

Ben was 77.78% Tom was 64.41%. Does that sway it? I neither know nor care. Be n can have this week if Tom gets SB MVP.

Roeth did have a helluva game. Splitting hairs imo.

Steelers could have their hands full in a close game this week with that STL front seven.

If they can apply some pressure to that pudgy douchebag Roethlisberger, the Rams have a shot. Then we'll see how meaningful his game 2 player of the week award is with a 1-2 start. That SF game was clearly the easiest to pick last week due to multiple reasons. I'm not ready to crown the Steelers just yet.

One thing I don't understand about efficiency. If you have a running offense, that improves your efficiency. But it's much harder to throw when you don't have a running offense. TRANSLATION: when a QB has a lower passing % on a high volume of passes, and succeeds, that's a lot more impressive than having a higher complete % in a balanced offense.

I think the measure of effectiveness should be YPA. That's what I always look at anyway.

I think (?) historically YPA is one of the best indicators for QB success and effectiveness. Certainly better than the raw QB rating IMO.

The argument for Ben was that he had such a rare and accurate game throwing deep (again: 5/6 on 30+ yard passes--best in last 10 years--plus close to 14 YPA).

I personally still would have given it to Brady given the degree of difficulty. But in a year full of bona fide, outrage-worthy incidents, this IMO does not warrant getting spun up over. (It's not like they gave it to Jimmy Clausen! lol)
