On the whole, the multiple TE sets seem to be working great. But I'm less than thrilled with Chandler's hands to date. In Game 2 he dropped two consecutive TD pass attempts. In Game 1 he bobbled a ball before corralling it, turning what looked like an easy TD into a scoring tap dance.

Is this a historical pattern for him, or is it more likely just some early-days glitches?

Buff fans said he drops critical passes. Who knows. Let his record in 2015 speak for itself.

He had this problem in Buffalo, hence their decision to not resign him.

Against us, he showed poise and good hands, maybe it's a question to turn him into a more consistent pass-catcher

Yeah, I have a ton of friends who are Bills fans and across the board they said 'you'll hate him once he starts dropping passes in the EZ'. I think part of it was simple pettiness of a guy not resigned/guy going to your biggest competitor, but the early returns suggest they're not wrong.

I think he's overall a solid TE2, and we've been spoiled by Gronk's otherworldly hands. But he's gonna have his fair share of drops, imo, and when most of his targets are in the red zone I think we need to expect a few end zone drops. But as another big-body TE who creates havoc in the end zone I'm more than happy with him as long as it doesn't become a drop-fest.

Slow clap........

My honest guess is that he's learning how to catch accurate, on-time passes.
Not gonna lie, I think your right. His TD week 1 was bobbled but seemed like it was caused by quickness, accuracy and timing of throw, almost like he was surprised it was there after he turned. He just needs more practice with the GOAT.

Chandler is not a stud TE. People around here were/are expecting too much. He's slow, stiff, and has mediocre hands. He is, however, 6'7". He'll be fine as a #2 TE.

I'm willing to give him more time. If he's doing well in practice, he'll be out on the field and we know BB will give players a chance and puts players in a position to succeed (if they've shown consistency).

Maybe Gronk catches that pass in the End Zone...but, he gets a pass for having it broken up.

the second pass attempt against buffalo was more bad luck I think, he caught the pass but it was a low pass, when bringing the ball back close to his body he hit his knee and stripped the ball.

I think some of our new guys like Scott Chandler and Dion Lewis are going to appreciate the early bye-week it comes at a time when they can really work on things...ie Fumbling and Catching.:)

I live in Bills territory. There hasn't been a single Bills player over the last decade + who has escaped the wrath of the Bills fan. Chandler included.

I've also seen some say he fumbles quite a bit.

Haven't seen any of that yet. Although he hasn't seen much action.
