But I thought Jerruh said there isn't a more gifted passer in the league than Weeden. Certainly they could have just signed a FA to the minimum rather than give up a pick then the $1.7m cap hit.

lol.

"Matt give us all you can on the Pats offense"

Weeden must be a talented and confident QB. When Romo went down, Weeden never took a warm up snap, he never even got up off the bench! As always though, I wish Matt the very best (except against the Pats)

It's been a long damn time since he was here, now.

I'm happy for Cassel.

Unfortunately it seems that the reason he re-signed with Buffalo in the first place was due to his wife's pregnancy and not wanting to move her during it so this might not be great for him.

Why not? 2017 5th. Not that many good teams I can see, you never know.

I hope he is starting over Weedan in week 5

I hope he gets a chance to start. Even minus dez, that cowboys team is far more talented than anything he saw in kc. He may be able to whip together enough wins for a playoff run. Buffalo trading him seems a but odd. Taylor likes to run, and doesn't have the Big Ben/Cam body to deal with the punishment of extending plays and using his legs (ditto for Johnny Football, he is one gasoline soaked dumpster fire waiting to happen).

I could easily see this being a plus for Dallas, and a huge loss for Buffalo if Taylor goes down. Again, I hope the best for Cassel and his family (though they are certainly not worried about money after that year he stepped in for Brady...).

I don't care one way or the other ...........

Man, Cassel has been bouncing around more than a woman's natural set of 38Cs when she's on a jog.

Good luck to him.

Sorry man, I don't make the rules.

This might be a great situation for Cassel. An good offensive front line will give him a little more time to throw. Maybe that's all he needs.

Anyways good luck to him.

Is this a Buffalo/Dallas conspiracy to beat the Patriots?

Sorry; couldn't help myself.

I'm sure there are ways to make this good for him.

If that's not what's being done, expect some blowback.

They are 2-0 at the moment, meaning that even if Cassel/Weeden only win 3/8 games during Romo's absence, they still have a 5-5 record in a piss poor NFCE when Romo returns.

Should they somehow be able to pull off .500 ball with a 4-4 record, Romo returns at 6-4 right around Thanksgiving. Either way, they should still be firmly in the mix.

The fact that they didn't use the DTR-IR spot on Dez Bryant last week suggests that they feel confident about his possibility to return 4-6 weeks from now. One game has already been missed, and another gets wiped out due to their bye week. Bryant could realistically be out longer than the 4-6 week timetable, say 8 weeks, and still only end up missing 5-6 more games.

Definitely. But we are talking about Jerruh here.

The fact that Jones would make such an idiotic statement about Weeden's talent only proves what the whole world already knew, and that's the fact that Stephen Jones is more equipped to run that team.
