Week 3 - vs Jax - cupcake city (thanks for the correction TBF)
Week 4 - bye
Week 5 - at Dal - W/O Romo and Dez, this should be a relatively easy game
Week 6 - at Ind - they always crush Luck and Indy
Week 7 - vs NYJ - Jets will be tough, but this is at Foxboro
Week 8 - vs Mia - Mia will be tough, but this is at Foxboro
Week 9 - vs Was - shouldn't be too difficult
Week 10 - at NYG - always tough playing Eli and the Giants, and it's on the road
Week 11 - vs Buf - wipe the floor with the Bills
Week 12 - at Den - another tough game, because it's in Denver
Week 13 - vs Phi - interesting, but it's in Foxboro
Week 14 - at Hou - cupcake city
Week 15 - vs Ten - cupcake city
Week 16 - at NYJ - should be a very tough game, but we'll see about their QB situation
Week 17 - at Mia - should be very tough - always tough in Miami

So by my count, there are four difficult games on the schedule: at NYG, at Den, at NYJ, at Mia. I don't think they'll lose all four. I don't think they'll lose more than two of them. But they may lose another game that we don't envision them losing.

Long story short, I see 14-2 or 13-3, and the #1 seed in the AFC. And thus, the road to SB 50 will run through Gillette. As it should be. Things could change with injuries, but right now, the way things look after two weeks, the Pats look to be in very good shape for the #1 seed.

No offense, but your rating of Jacksonville and Tennessee leave something to be desired.. These are both teams with good young QBs. Jacksonville also has a good front 7.. Thinking they'll be a cupcake win is a fallacy..

The COLTS on paper had the easiest schedule this year and look where they stand right now, we are only two games into the season. The season is young and there have been quite a few upsets and a lot of injuries to some pretty important players. I for one would be happy with a 10-6,11-5 etc.. record as long as it ends with Brady lifting the Lombardi trophy.

Of course I'd be happy with 9-7, sneaking into the playoffs, as long as the Pats win the Lombardi. But honestly, I don't think this schedule is terribly difficult.

The Pats will crush both those teams. And both are home.

Knock on wood for a healthy roster throughout the season.

It's going to be fun in November when the team really starts to click.

Did you hear the bills fans. They were going to destroy us. Talk to a jets fan, their team is going to kill us too. Why is it losing franchises always think they are going to win but talk to some pats fan and we are going to lose. Follow a game day thread and our team is hopeless. Remember playoffs last year and Brady posted a photo of him riding a horse before playing the colts and most our fans were scared of motivation that would give them and we were going to be stomped. After deflategate and even the first game when they say we cheated again I say we stand up tall and back down from no one. There will be some tough opponents but I like our chances against anyone.

Nearly every year there are 1 or 2 shockers for the top teams.

So let's say we hit the playoffs with a 1 seed and a 14-2 record.

Getting back to the Super Bowl then depends on keeping the following players healthy in the playoff run:

Tom
Gronk
Jules

McCourty
Butler

I think other areas of the roster could survive an injury here and there with the next man up policy.

If any of the above 5 players go to IR, it will of course be difficult to repeat.

Only wish I had was that the BYE wasn't in week 4. Sucks it's so early.
I've been looking at it as a chance to rest Easley up and get him ready for the long stretch

Assuming health of key guys here is how i see it

Week 3 - vs Jax - win
Week 4 - bye
Week 5 - at Dal - win (no romo)
Week 6 - at Ind - win.. lock of the year TBH. Pats want this one REALLY bad.
Week 7 - vs NYJ - likely win but i see both NYJ games as possible trap games even at home.
Week 8 - vs Mia - should win - If the front is not working out i am not sold on that secondary
Week 9 - vs Was - win
Week 10 - at NYG - possible trap game
Week 11 - vs Buf - win
Week 12 - at Den - win (team won't be over confident so no trap game and Manning should be looking pretty bad by now
Week 13 - vs Phi - win
Week 14 - at Hou - win
Week 15 - vs Ten - win
Week 16 - at NYJ - possible trap game
Week 17 - at Mia - win (Miami this time of year should be fine)

So i see plenty of potential trap games. I think we lose 1-2 of them. 14-2 or 15-1 I don't think we lose Denver at all. If you think he has looked meh now you wait till Nov 29th.

IMO the key can't lose players

Offense 5 - Brady/Gronk/Edelman/Vollmer/Solder (losing any one of them hurts bad though to varying degrees. I add in Solder/Vollmer cause i believe the drop off is enormous and can not be schemed around).

Defense 3 - McCourty/Butler/Collins (no 1 player on the DL is a can't lose due to the depth there... Maybe you can add Tarell Brown to this list cause of how bad the drop off is too if you want. Also I decided to take Hightower off cause Mayo would not be a horrible drop off... There is no plan B for Collins though.)

I could see Tennessee being a trap game if Mariota plays awesome. They have a few good receivers and I think David Cobb could be good...
