Of course, its the oline, its the defense its everyone except manning ..err luck... 2003-2004 redux.

To be fair Brady struggle last year with our o-line too, so he'll go from 3 to 2 int per game once it's fixed.

So since the Jets D hasn't played an offense that does not fumble on the 1 yard line without a hit or do anything else effectively, you say they are really, really good? Huh. Cool.

Makes sense.

You can't seem to be able to grasp words like "historically", phrases like "struggled more" and notions that a good defense is a good defense.

Don't bother me until you're able to figure those out.

I was LMAO during this game, the Colts right now looks like belongs in the bottom 5 of the league, I never saw them as a real threat, but I thought they would at least make up for a bad start and still have more wins than losses, right now this team looks so bad coached, Luck regressed, this team is a dumpster fire and Pagano may not survive the season.

The Rats had ZERO sacks tonight...watching the game I thought they had like 10 or 15...wow

No defense is legitimate after two weeks of football, i'd rather wait for the jets to play us on the 25th next month before proclaiming them a great D.

So the Patriots offense is not legit, then?

It will be fun next week if mariota beats luck, irsay may fire pagano on the bus ride home

It wasn't just the buttfumble, which was hilariously embarrassing for the Jets in and of itself.
It was the 3 touchdowns in 53 seconds, the one sided curb stomping that ensued the whole game, and the fact that it was THANKSGIVING PRIME TIME.

The buttfumble will leave a scar on the Jets for decades-- a scar given to them by the Patriots.

That was the game that basically killed the Pats v Jets rivalry as a hot item.

It was a Mortal Kombat fatality, and has no equal.

Irsay needs to fire his GM. Even if the Colts turn this around, it's already obvious that the guy completely blew the offseason.
Maybe Irsay will make himself gm ala Jerry Jones! He would make the off-season so much more interesting because he will go on bended and wind up trading for Riley Cooper or something.

The pats are defending Super Bowl champion, the world know who they are on offense.

It's week two of the season. If your rule "No defense is legitimate after two weeks of football" applies to defenses, the rule "No offense is legitimate after two weeks of football" applies to offenses too, by default.

I'd love to see that coked up bastard try his hand at GM. BB could just send over a few hookers and some blow, and then get him to trade Luck for a pair of 7th round draft picks.

Grigson could be the worse GM since Bobby Greir. He took at team from the final 4 and within 9 months drove the into the ground. In a blind effort to build up his offense, he brought in an elite vet receiver, who is suddenly doing his best impression of Reggie Wayne.....circa 2015 Patriots TC. He drafted a WR #1, who is doing his best Chad Jackson impression. He rebuilt his OL, which has now gone from mediocre to bad. His secondary is falling apart and the DL....well the DL.....well it looked to me they were trying hard. Hey if you can't say something nice.....;)

Right now if I were Andrew Luck's dad, I wouldn't let him sign another contract awith the Colts. The owner is Psychotic - The GM is historically bad, and the HC is........ on the way out Luck has already been through one rebuild, why would he want to go through another at this stage of his career.

Here's an idea. Go to the Colts, and tell them that 2016 is his last year in Indy if it means walking away from the game. Then tell them he will broker a deal with the NINERS so the Colts would get Kapernick and 2 #1's and #4's over the next 2 years and a barrel of meth. and trade him to SF.

I tell yah DI, that doesn't even close to the same team we crushed last season twice, not NEARLY as good.

Something definitely feels wrong about that team. I wonder if any of it is tied to either the Pagano situation or the deflategate situation.

Whatever the underlying reason, Luck, and a whole lot of other players, were badly served by their GM this offseason.

For about a second I got a little nervous about the Jets. That defense has looked THAT formidable the last 2 weeks, and even looked at alone, they have a lot of good players, especially on D.

BUT here's the thing. That might be the worst defense that any of us see this year. It was bad even BEFORE their secondary was dropping like flies, and STILL, despite that and getting 5 TO's, they STILL only managed to score 20 points, including 3 as the game ended. That's pretty bad and not a lot to fear. Plus BB knows Chan Galley like a book.

BOTTOM LINE - I think the Jets will be a team to be respected, but certainly not feared.......though their fans will likely be more than frisky by the time round one comes around

thank god the pats are only on monday night once this year. I can't stomach espn

it's transparently formulaic...enough so to induce retching at any given point in a broadcast. Personally ,I cannot take anything uttered by any commentator on this station seriously...and the fact they have that disgusting, pig faced twerp Mort sitting in as an "expert" is just icing on the shyt cake.

Just a follow up: Pagano apparently let loose in his press conference. He seems to be tossing Luck under the bus a bit, but it also seems as if that might be more about going at Grigson through Luck:

Consider these facts:
  • Through two games, the Jets' defensive passer rating is 62.9, which will be third-best in the NFL.
  • The Jets have given up 17 points on defense, No. 1 in the NFL through two games.
  • In the Andrew Luck era, the Colts have never been held to seven points at home.
  • The Colts only made it into Jets territory once in the first half and four times over the course of the whole game.
  • The Colts didn't score until the fourth quarter, and went a span of 80 minutes and 22 seconds of game clock between points given up on defense (field goal with 3:29 remaining in the second quarter in Week 1; touchdown at 10:07 remaining in the fourth quarter in Week 2).
