Apparently, it has been speculated even before the draft that 2015 will be the last season with Brees and the Saints.. Because of their cap situation, it would be extremely difficult to keep him next year, and after this year's start, you wonder if he wants to stay. After dropping their first two home games of the season, the Saints have now lost SIX HOME GAMES IN A ROW, where they used to be almost unbeatable. It looks like another horrible season for the Saints with only a dark future ahead.

So, my questions is, IF the Saints shop Brees, where is he most likely to wind up? No doubt the Bills and Jets would be teams salivating about the prospect of adding him to their rosters. While many teams in the NFL would likely be in the bidding, it is common for teams to trade such a player outside the conference.

It would be interesting to see how the market unfolds for a 37 year old QB with declining - but still very good - skills.

No idea how true this is but rumors are flying today in NOLA that Brees has a partially torn rotator cuff and they're waiting on a second opinion. Again take it for what it's worth, but that would be awful for him. Guy was royally screwed out of the MVP in 2009 and will likely never come close if he has another serious shoulder issue at his age.

As much as the discussion on whether Manning is done or not, Brees looks closer to being done than Manning. He is shell of himself and his deep ball is gone all together. He isn't much younger than Brady.

Brees in an open air stadium is not a huge threat, let the jets take him.

This is a good year for the Saints to suck.

I saw an early projection of 1st round QBS as I think there were four on the list.

Geaux Saints! I'd much rather they get one than the rodents.

Saints can't reasonably trade, would have to cut. At that point who knows where he'd go; with Bradford lacking a long-term deal, wouldn't be shocked to see him end up in Philly. Houston could be another big one, since he is from Texas and all. The thought of him ending up on the Jets or Bills is scary, though.

Brees has awful outdoor splits and that's with a high percentage played in San Diego. Good luck to the Bills or Jets once it gets cold and even more so windy.

Texans makes the most sense.

Brees is a good guy and means a lot to the City of New Orleans, would be a bad PR move by the Saints to cut him. Although, apparently Benson is a drooling idiot now (if you believe the court papers filed by his kin).

Didn't he have shoulder issues that drove San Diego not to re-sign him years ago?

I must admit that I have not watched much Brees the past three seasons. Is this true? Does he really look that bad? It's hard to he can look worse than Manning. Man, that's sad.

I like Brees, he's a good guy but I never understood him being cited in the same sentences as Brady, Manning and Rodgers. I know in his prime he had a laser in his arm and great accuracy, one of the best I've seen in tight windows, but he is (or was) one QB in home and other on the road, to be in this list you need to win on the road, the Saints have always been awful on the road and in open stadiums. I also don't think he has the same control of the game as the other 3.

Good point. Like Manning, until he went to Denver, Brees has either played in warm climate (San Diego) or domed stadiums (Saints) as well as in divisions where away games, for the most part, did not present challenging weather. Brees in NYC, or, better yet, Buffalo? Doesn't worry me.

Is Benson worse off than Jerry Jones?

See that duck above. He's been brutal since the start of last season. There were at least 3 games last season that the Saints win if Brees doesn't throw an awful pass at a key time.

The Saints may not have a choice. They are in cap hell with $151 million committed next year...Time to pay the piper after kicking the can down the road for a few years....
