This can't be possible. Because we hear over and over again from the media that the Dolphins are "committed to winning" by making Suh the highest paid defensive player in NFL history. I mean, who would ever think something could go wrong when you take a guy with obvious attitude problems, put him in a brand new system and environment in the middle of a gigantic party city, bow to his every demand, and then throw a guaranteed $20M a year at him?

I, for one, cannot fathom this could be happening.

And the AFC East is starting to implode...

It's funny after all the hooplah, we are a likely Jets loss tonight away from the Patriots outright leading the division after week 2, with all three other teams ready to come apart at the seams. Looking forward to seeing the Jets begin their implosion shortly.

Think about picturing these headlines

"Suh Emploding in Miami is it Albert Haynsworth part 2"

"Rex humiliated in Buffalo, Bills ownership having 2nd thoughts"

" Ravens lose again. Is this the end for Harbaugh and Newsome

"Colts lose again. Irsay found crawling the Streets of Indy"

" Seattle loses again. Wilson thinks God has abandoned him

Think about it, Ice, how can you NOT believe in Karma. I know these are just the headlines I'd LIKE to see and are only partial truths. But the fact is that all of them could really happen

Its been a tough summer, but today it feels GREAT to be a Pats fan. :D

Suh is incredibly overrated. Has he ever shown up in a big game? I know he has never been a factor against us whenever we've played him.

Buffalo has committed $250 million in salary to it's front four, who just got humiliated by Brady and three rookies.

Miami has $60 million guaranteed to Suh.

So are you telling me that investing the bulk of your salary cap money into defensive linemen is not the best way to built a team??

That Suh contract will be an albatross around Miami's neck for years to come. It's pretty much like the Mets deal with Bobby Bonilla

If true, real bad for the 'Fins. Good for us.

Speaks to the lack of respect and the off-the-charts narcissistic level of behavior of Suh

Two weeks into the season, things have not exactly gone to plan. Only nine teams have allowed more total yards than the Dolphins. The run defense, expected to be a big strength considering the talent along the defensive line and Suh's particular brand of penetration, has been dreadful. Miami is 27th in rush yards allowed through two weeks.

One reason for this, according to a report from Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, is that Suh has been disregarding play calls from defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle and instead freelancing on his own:

The same could be said for the Dolphins' defense, which is somehow worse with Ndamukong Suh than it was without him in 2014.

A big reason why: Suh, who for the second straight week was a nonfactor, strayed from Kevin Coyle's script.

The Miami Herald has learned that Suh freelanced at times Sunday, creating confusion on the defense. By taking matters into his own hands, the Dolphins' $114 million man took a bad situation and made it worse.

“I couldn't tell you,” Suh said, when asked to explain his uninspired play. “At the end of the day, we have to go back to the drawing board and figure out what we want to run so guys can make plays and go from there.”

This is a thing that happens on occasion in the NFL whether we hear about it or not, but a massive free agent signing being the one to do it -- and then not making plays when he does -- makes it a slightly bigger issue. It's one thing to break play calls if you're blowing up the other team in the backfield. But if you're putting yourself out of position based on the play call and not making tackles -- which is what's happening with Suh so far this season -- it's time to re-examine some things.

Fat Albert 2.0? Uh oh!

If only there had been some signs that this guy was undisciplined before the Dolphins gave him a truck load of cash. If only...

I was watching the Fins game yesterday and Suh was being handled for many plays one on one by the Jags center. If he does not draw double teams then he can't free up the ends to pass rush. His contract is ridiculous when the really important linemen are the pass rushers like Watt.

The Suh signing was Madden GM'ing at its finest. Scheme fit and coachability are things that actually matter.

Moreover, I'm not even certain he was worth it. Granted, I haven't watched a ton of Lions games over the years, but I always thought Suh, while a good player, was never the dominant force he was made out to be by the ESPN narrative, and his style of play was more of a liability than an asset in many cases.

This pisses me off! There's lots of "throwing money at your problems" going on all over the place. Do you have any idea just how many people consider me to be a problem? Lots! But I still don't seen one gawdamm dime coming my way!

I believe linemen are great investments. The Pats have often had big contracts on the defensive line from Ted Washington to Richard Seymour to Vince Wilfork. Heck, Belichick even kicked the tires on Albert Haynesworth, he was just smarter about it than the way the Dolphins threw money at an undisciplined player like Suh.

DL is a good investment. In this case (1) too much cash (2) too unpredictable a player and - I can't stress this enough (3) we are NOT talking about GB being Reggie White away from the championship. This team was going nowhere. MAYBE close to a playoff slot if everything went perfect....
