It's not a matter of being "scared," it's being realistic. New Jersey is an unknown quantity at this juncture and one of three teams that MUST fail for the Patriots to succeed. Is anyone here scared of Indy in the playoffs? Look at the Jets schedule and if they win tonight they conceivably could start the season 5-0. WE DO NOT WANT THAT, PEOPLE!

Of course we don't want that. We don't want EITHER team to win. :)

I'm not saying you're wrong to root for Indy, but I think it's a much closer call than you suggest. It's not about being scared of facing the Colts in the playoffs, it's about them having the clearest path to a bye thanks to the easiest projected schedule in the entire conference.

This argument I hope will end up moot as I expect Indy to win tonight at home. But the nightmare scenario would be New Jersey coming to Foxboro full of confidence at 5-0 and pulling off an upset. Think about that. That's why I say DIVISION FIRST. Then we can start mulling byes, playoff match-ups, etc.

Ive never done this before ever and it makes me sick to do it but i'm going to root for the jest. Indy started the framegate shennanigens, they can't suffer enough along with their fans and drug addled owner. I'm not worried about the jest, they aren't going anywhere per usual, they're not a threat to the pats.

As much as it pains me , I'm going with the Jest today. They don't have a QB, they will fall apart as the season goes on. They only have a defense, not a threat for the Patriots.

The Colts starting 0-2 would be a nice thing, I'm not worried with them at all, I just want the Colts to lose every game they play from now on.

don't care.......I'll say the colts, but they get bagged for cheating somehow

Easy call. Jets over Dolts.

The Pats can take care of business in the Division. Frankly, I thought that yesterday's Road game in Buffalo was going to be their biggest challenge of the season, division-wise.

After watching the Nofins throw up in Jacksonville and knowing that BB will be able to beat a first year HC in New Jersey, I just want to see the Colts be humiliated on national Tee Vee and join the other two other teams the Pats beat last year in the Playoffs at 0--2.

I'm rooting for the Colts to lose. This is based in part on Framegate - it would be funny to see both the Ratbirds and Dolts go 0-2 to start this year - but more so is based on the joke of a division the Colts play in. I want the Pats to have the best possible chance of having homefield advantage in the playoffs. The Pats will have two games against the Jets but only one against the Colts, so I'd like to see the Colts take as many AFC losses as possible, based on my belief that the Colts weak division still gives them a great chance to get a good seed in the playoffs. Further, the worse the start is for the Colts, the more turmoil it will cause, which will help weaken them given their obviously poor management structure.

Jets are going nowhere with Fitzpatrick. A Colts loss will ultimately prove more important to seeding than a Jets loss.

This is how I feel, as dirty as it may be. The Colts could ultimately end up in a competition for the 1st or 2nd seed and as much as I'm confident we could beat them wherever, I wouldn't want to go into Indianapolis in the playoffs

I don't think the Jets will be able to sustain through out the year and really be a player in the seeding/playoff picture

Colts. Get a leg up on the division as early as possible. The Pats are going to smash the Colts no matter what and they have already lost.

Probably the Jets cause i know best case they are 8-8. Be fun to watch the Colts go 0-2.

Im rooting for the stadium to collapse. I cant pick myself to root for the Jets, but let's be real, how can we not take joy at watching the Colts go 0-2?

Seeing the Ravens and Colts start 0-2 would be soo sweet!

Jets, and here's why:

The Jets will implode at some point, it's what they do so a 2-0 start for them is meaningless. The mental midget Colts starting out 0-2? Could very well be disastrous for them.

I think it serves the Pats best to have the Colts lose, but with Pash, Kensil, Goodell, and other ex-rodents leading the charge in Deflategate, the Rats are far from innocent.

Unless the Jets are somehow back to 2010 form, which I doubt, I'm rooting for them. The Colts have a cupcake division and the Jets are going to have a heck of a time once the AFCE games come in. Of course it will backfire if the Jets somehow challenge us for AFCE but what are the chances of that.

The Colts have such an easier schedule, I want them buried early.

LOL

Even if they somehow do, they will implode as is always the case.

I am not scared of either team. Neither team poses a threat. I just happen to dislike Indy more at the moment because they are far more relevant than the Jets.

Rather see the Colts to lose. After all the sucking up all off season for their "star" signings to and SB 50 birth rite experts have been placing, I'd love to see them start 0-2.

Jets will implode soon enough, after getting all high after starting 2-0

This should be a no-brainer for everyone here. Division first, always. We want the Green Beans to lose. With every loss by a division rival, the Patriots are one step closer to the playoffs. Besides, the Colts already have lost a game, New Jersey hasn't.
Sorry Tune, you need to think a bit more long term here. We don't need others to beat the stinking green puke to win the AFCE. We can accomplish this ourselves as well as the Bills and Dolphins. If we are expecting to be in the fight for the bye (and who isn't), then Colts and their fraudulent schedule need to be the trarget, NOT the Jets. Time enough to take care of them., Besides the thought of IRSAY wandering the dismal streets of Indy after midnight desperately looking for a crack dealer is just too beautiful of an image to erase. But off course The meteor that whips out Indy isn't a bad image either

BTW- Remember this: after the bye the Pats are going to embark on a streak of 13 straight games with no respite, and all that entails in the manner of wear and tear. By the time the playoffs roll around the Pats are going to NEED that playoff bye. Without it they will be looking at playing 17 straight games to win the Superbowl
