Dobson needs to learn to trust his hands. He body catches everything, a particular problem on high throws because he has to leave his feet to catch it. Great to see him have a good day, he can be a real asset if he can hand catch and become more trusted.

Hes getting over this. I saw some confidence coming from him today. I'm honestly very excited about him.

He caught the first 24 yard in cut cleanly away from his body with his hands.

Catching it clean will come.

Today was a good confidence booster for him. Was that his first game playing the majority of snaps since Pittsburgh in '13 too?

They should run Dobson on those deep routes instead of Edelman sometimes.

If Brady's confidence in Dobson grows we might see that.

And caught everything else to his body.
Except for the one that bounced off his chest. Nice game all in all but I'm still not sold. That drop was classic.

How come Dobson isn't allowed a drop? Edelman dropped 3 and the general concencus is that he balled out, wich he did. Recievers drop balls. 6 of 7 for 82 is great for a third option.

Thought he was pretty solid today. We don't need him to be great, just good enough where teams have to pay some attention to him.

Surprised at how much he was used and was happy to see him contribute. I was on the "Dobson's not going to help much" train, but I'm considering leaving at the next stop to take the "tall receiver making plays" bus.

Yea that was like Dan Graham hands there..

That's ok, as long as his career path is better than Chad Jackson, I'll be pleased.

Chad Jackson showed great hands, but not much else on the actual football field.

I don't disagree, but it was a particularly uncoordinated and unathletic looking drop.

Man have we been unlucky with drafting receivers except for Branch, Givens and Edelman (hopefully Dobson too). How the hell didn't Jackson become a beast in the NFL, looks like he had Dez Bryant type size and hands. Probably the most disappointed I ever was with a drafted receiver not working out since Hart Lee Dykes, who actually had a great rookie season.

What an awful, rotten, poisonous bunch of players on those late 80s Pats teams. Fryar ended his career in a bar fight. Zeke Mowatt sexually harassed Lisa Olsen and John Stephens snorts up and later in life raped a woman.

This is gonna be a good thread to follow during the season to watch all the people who hated on Dobson stick to their positions as long as possible despite games like today.
