"He’s human,” Evans said. “No one likes being called a cheater. There’s plenty of motivation from it. It’s just never talked about. Good teams aren’t made around bulletin board material. Can it help? Sure. Tom has always been overlooked. Until he won his fourth ring, a lot of people didn’t want to put him in the conversation for greatest ever. When it’s all said and done, there’s not going to be any question who’s the greatest ever to strap it on.” Heath Evans

Great read.

This is going to be a fun year.

Buffalo supposedly has a top 5 defense and the Pats put up 40. What the hell are they going to do to the Colts?

Vengeful Tom Brady and the Patriots are coming to crush everyone in the NFL

Thanks for posting that. I love that headline.

I looked at the full schedule today for the first time in a while. After watching the rest of the league over these first two games, it suddenly looks a lot lighter. I thought at Buffalo and at Dallas were two of the toughest games when the schedule first game out, and Buffalo was pretty straightforward and Dallas has gotten crushed with injuries. Who else scares you? Broncos? Certainly not the Colts right? Vengeful Tom Brady isn't slowing down any time soon this year.

I think there's a legitimate chance we go 16-0, based on the schedule. You never know what kind of circumstances we will encounter though.

Why don't our local newspapers have writers of that quality? I mean, it's Boston. We deserve better.

Even the post game shows sucked. After the game I turned to channel 65 and got Felger with Troy Brown. Troy Brown is one of my all time favorite Pats but just could not listen to freaken Felger.

So I turned to the postgame show on another channel and got Curran (great) coupled with Mr. stiffnecked ass hat himself. No way I'm listening to that.

I don't get it. It was a good win and I want to hear the positives and the negatives with a Patriot perspective. If you gave a magical Unicorn to Felger or Borges they would stick their finger in its rectum and tell you it stinks.

After a VERY small read on things....it sure does appear that it will be GB - NE in SB 50. I'm not sure about 16-0 as that really could come down to a lucky bounce or three, all going our way.

That said, Brady sure does look unbeatable.

I don't see GB making it.

I want to see more of Atlanta. They're an interesting team this year.

Next 4 weeks

Jaguars
Bye
Cowboys
Colts

It's early, and the Patriots tend to have a hiccup game, but that sets up to be 3 ass kickings and a week of rest.

I would have liked to have seen the Cowboys fully loaded. That would have been a good game.

The WILL have Greg Hardy back for that one, and maybe Randy Gregory, but no Bryant or Romo is a huge handicap for them.

I think some of the best defenses the Pats will face this year are right here in the AFCE. After today and the Super Bowl I am not concerned with facing a top rated defense. It's the teams with top rated offenses that will (somewhat) concern me.

The real post game show, Smerlas suits me just fine after a Pats win . Fred always has very good in depth analysis....... oh and I like hearing homerish stuff after a PAts win. Pfw usually has a lot of negatives, I knew they would come out ranting about almost blown lead .

The Key phrase in the DC Post article is "Hes human". Why should anyone blame Tom because he's pissed, vengeful, or motivated. He has every right to be all 3. I hope he keeps it up all year. As for 16-0, I doubt it, and don't care. We have a real early Bye this year. I'd think it part of an NFL conspiracy, except we've had pretty good to great bye weeks for the last several years. Everyone has to get a bad one eventually. It's fair.

It's only the 2nd game, and we should know better than most, that we have no idea where we are in the team building process. and everyone's record after 2 weeks won't tell us much about who will be there at the end. But that being said, as I look at us, the only team on our level right now are the Bengals. Their offense might not be as good, but no one's is, but it is good, and their defense has been better than ours so far.

BTW- I think Bill is liking this team and is having fun with them.

I can't help but remember a film clip I found on UTUBE, when I was looking to get into a fooball mood before the Steeler game. The clip was a "Football Life - Bill Belechick and the 2000. It was a great show that gave us a lot of insight on BB and inside on how the Pats prepare for game. They also go over the team, and one thing is striking. Bill mentions this less no than 3 times, during different parts of the seasonJ

He complained bitterly how he just can't get through to this guys", and ""H'ow this team isn't ready to rise to the occasion when adversity arises"

One time it was in a conversation with Tom in his offense. The final time, IIRC,. he was on the field standing next to Brady during the 2009 AFCCG ) "Gees, Tom this goddamn team can ever seem to over come adversty,

The Bottom line here is that BB NEVER liked or trusted that 2009 team and felt he couldn't find a way to get through to them despite all the effort. Clearly he was right on the money there. They were on and done for the playoffers (Ravens) and in a bad way.. Its a good thing he doesn't feel that that with TEHISE team.

I have no idea what to think about Atlanta after 2 weeks. They could be for real, they could be a bad team that's barely hung on to beat two even worse teams. I really don't know, and won't until we have a better idea re: whether Philly and NYG are as bad as they look.

Actually, with the exception of the Pats, GB and Arizona, all the teams in the NFL have looked pretty inconsistent this year. The NFC is going to be GB or Arizona and the AFC will be a fight between the Pats, the Broncos and I still think the Stigglers will be there.
