Brady is doing more with less in 2015

Huh?
Gronk......best TE in the history of mankind
Edelperson......best slot WR in the NFL.....referred to as "uncoverable" by mediots during 2014 stretch drive

Sure ......Welker was at the top of his game and statistically superior to Edelperson....and Moss dug deep for a great encore to his career.........But the combo was not "more" IMO

Lewis looks like he will eclipse Faulk's stats in about 6 weeks

Gaffney, Stallworth, Watson were all complimentary pieces ...no different than Amendola, Dobson, Lafell (hopefully)

At RB.....LoMo and Morris were JAGs that earned garbage time yards during blowouts. It is true NE's RB production this year has been limited to Lewis and no one else...so far. I predict that post bye, NE will get healthier on the line and the NE offense will slowly build a consistent late season ground game...like years past. Talent at RB is not the issue. The health and maturity of NE's interior line is the issue

Having seen NE's WR-centric offense in '07 .....vs the TE-centric offense of today........Give me Gronk/Edelperson in the playoffs any day...two unsolved mysteries. Back in '07, the Giants solved the Moss puzzle.
Therefore.......2015 is the year of MORE...not less

When LaFell and Stork return this offense will be ridiculous. The double TE set of Gronk and Chandler with Blount lined up behind them is unguardable

I love Stork, so I'm not saying this to diminish him at all, but realistically can we expect him to be better than Andrews? Andrews has been really, really good so far. That's not to say he's as good or better, just saying he's had two great games now.

On an equally pleasing note, the 2 rivals most instrumental in propagating "frame gate" are still winless. I hope we can continue to say that after tomorrow.
After Spygate, the Jets remain...well...they are still the Jets.

Tough call coming up tomorrow night. Always rooting against the Jets goes without saying for many reasons. But with Grigson being the one non NFL office person most deserving of Karma over Framegate, and with expectations so very high in Indy, them going into a losing tailspin would be very sweet.
I hate to see an extra win for a division rival, the Jets at that, but I am leaning toward rooting to see the Colts get embarrassed again. Anything that could causes Grigson dismay-turns more of their fans against him-inching him toward getting canned I find too hard to pass up.
I tell you what, if the Colts can go 0-5 into their game against the Patriots, and if the Patriots can pile it on/embarrass them in their own dome (which I think may happen), the $#it sandwich that Grigson will eat will be a very good start to him getting his full plate of just desserts.

I think Stork is the better run blocker but you have a pt.

According to Elias Sports Bureau, Brady is the first player in NFL history to have the following combination in the same game: 450 or more passing yards, three passing touchdowns, no interceptions and 55 or more passing attempts.

Remember in 1994 when Bledsoe went for 45/70 426yd and 3 TD?
Memories...

So I'm listening to Gresh and Zo (Bertrand) and Zo goes on for about 15 minutes about a very brief encounter with Brady while loading the buses. He goes on to describe how Brady had a scowl on his face and was talking about the 4th and 1's. He talked about how Brady is different than in years past. He talked about how Brady and the team were already talking about going to get Jacksonville.

Keep in mind that all of this is happening 16 years deep for Brady. At a time when things should be slowing down (like that other guy), he seems to be getting better. I said that I thought last season was the best of Brady's career, and he may be in a position and mentality to top that (if all goes well). That's insane. I'm sure he'd say there's still a lot of football to be played, but this stretch, since 2nd half of the AFCCG, is like nothing we've seen from Brady. The man and the whole offense is in another gear. They've put up numbers that rival 2007 and I don't think they've looked anywhere near as impressive to the eyes. That's scary!!! When JoJo comes back and provided health and development, this offense will be disgusting.

This team is focused and they're on a mission. There is no complacency here. While we all were upset and Brady went through a lot this off season, Deflategate might have been the best thing to happen to this team and its fans. I feel like I say it every week, but we are privileged to be fans of this team.

I'm not surprised at all.I think Brady is playing pressure free after winning
his fourth SB.

One might conclude that "deflated footballs" provide no competitive advantage, sorry all the naysayers and ex jets employees on Madison Avenue...

My favorite stretch was the 4th quarter of SB 49... 13/15, 125 yards and 2 TD's against the world's greatest football defense every..

Kerry Byrne of Cold Hard Football Facts picked this up as well..

http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.co...an-statistical-response-to-deflategate/34434/

Brady since halftime of the AFC title game has:

  • completed 72.3% of his passes for 1,213 yards, 13 TD, 2 INT and a 117.5 rating.
The Patriots have unloaded on the Colts, Seahawks, Steelers and Bills for 124 points over 14 quarters, while going 4-0 in the process.

But Felger said Brady wouldn't play as well without the deflator, it would be in his head?? How can this be?

It took Brady an average of 1.97 seconds to throw the ball on 59 passes yesterday. Time was calculated from snap to throw.

I'm thrilled with his level of play.

Throwing the ball 50 times a game at this age is not something I hope they are doing out of need in December.

Not to be a wet blanket but he is 38. The body needs a little more time to recoup at that age.

Then, again.....they can rebuild him...they have the technology.

According to Pro Football Focus, Brady’s 1.97 second average over the first two weeks is the fastest in the league and is the only quarterback to average less than two seconds.

For a comparison, Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor had the highest time in the league in Week 2, as he averaged 3.03 seconds from snap-to-attempt — over a full second slower than Brady.

Looking like he's 28 more than 38 :D

His body may be older but his mind is quicker than ever, plus he's on a mission and we know he can keep it going for a full year.

That is the one thing that worries me. All is well as it's still early in the season, but no matter how well you take care of yourself, there's just no escaping father time. It's a universal law that a 40 year old body takes longer to recover than a 20 year old body, especially when you start getting banged up.

The one good thing that's really working in his favor is that he's never been a mobile QB and so has to depend more on intelligence and reaction to get the ball out as fast as possible. In this way he escapes getting banged up so much, so hopefully this continues.
