Story was Baltz' perception of McNally. How many times he saw him is germane. Nothing else.

I've spoken with you privately, Tom. Not gonna get in a Twitter war with you.

Emailed. You danced out in front of the masses with this absolutely irrelevant info from 89-99. Stop fingerwagging https://twitter.com/bkravitz/status/644944565946982400…

I see Kravitz is taking the Chris Mortensen approach. "Sure, every detail of my source/story is wrong, but somehow I'm still right and you're a loser for pointing out the ********. Haha, tryhard ******."

Remember guys: according to Kravitz, Bill Simmons doesn't count because he's not a real, big boy professional journalist like yours truly Bob Kravitz.

Why do these media clowns continue to throw out misleading (ie lying) stories about the Patriots?

Are they so excited to publish anti-Patriot stories that they don't bother to check their sources? Or do they purposely write their lies?

I'd love if someone asked Kravitz this question but he seems to have a knack for hiding his head in the sand whenever he is called out

As awful as deflategate was, it might have resulted in a beneficial side effect. It put the spotlight on all the flimsy evidence, lies, propaganda, innuendo, etc that have been hurled at the Patriots. Now such acts are met with a rigorous defence. They are now being fact checked. Even Belichick has opened up and denounced articles that were untrue. The NFL has even come to the defense of the Patriots about headset malfunctions. Thanks to Brady for fighting for justice and what was right and not rolling over for Goodell and his propaganda machine.

They do it because the masses love it.. being affirmed on social media is more important that being a quality journalist..

Moral of the story that Kravitz is being deliberately stupid about: if every provable/disprovable point of someone's story is proven to be fabricated ********, then the whole story should be regarded as such.

Somehow people like Kravitz manage to miss that point here, but they'll be the first to claim that Brady claiming he didn't know McNally and/or 'destroying' his phone proves his guilt under a much flimsier, dumber, axe-grinding application of the same general principle.

Now that Brady is free to play and that I've resigned myself to the fact that losing a first round pick once or twice a decade is the price of having BB coach my fav team - things are better.

The media will become vary about screwing with the Pats. The fans are defending the Wall and fact checking the media trolls, they aren't used to being called out when the print their crap.

This is not a fan base to mess with and they hate it.

Curran is right. Both Kravitz and Baltz made it sound like Baltz ran into McNally is many games and this was an issue that he saw time and time again over the years. Baltz and McNally only were in Gillette for a handful of games.

Here is the quote from Baltz that is very misleading:

“If he could get them 10 or 15 minutes before he was supposed to get them, instead of the usual two minutes before the game – and there were some crews that let him do that – he would do it. I wouldn’t let him take them early, and I think he eventually figured that out because he stopped asking after a while. I probably did 10 to 15 games up there (in Foxboro, Mass.) and those first few times, he’d always ask. I always thought it was very suspicious. He certainly acted in a suspicious manner.’’

So McNally apparently stopped asking Baltz for the balls after Baltz stopped doing games in New England because Baltz only did a few games with McNally.

Kravitz is, clearly, at least generally aware of an attempt to smear the Patriots in the media
