Tight ends combined to score 22 Rec TD in Week 1, the most TDs in a week by TEs since at least 1970 merger, per Elias. WRs had only 21.

Mark my words, Gronk is going to break Moss' record for most single-season touchdown receptions, and he might even get the nod for League MVP!

wouldn't surprise me in the least. he could end up with 30 td's. when we get to the goalline you need to put 2 guys on him. leaving him 1 on 1 you are just conceding 6 points to us

Do not see him breaking any single season record, however might see the most TD's caught by TE's on a team in a season...

Surprisingly, I'm ok with that. (Provided he's not focused on/Brady forces throws to him and he doesn't have much more than half the offensive TDs).

For the sake of my big money FFL, your words to the Football Gods ears. ;)

Can't wait for the media to pump Travis Kelce as better than Gronk.

Moss had 23 TDs in 2007 He averaged 1.44 TDs a game.

Gronk had 3 on Thurs. To break the record he needs to average 1.4 TDs a game.

I will argue that Gronk is a greater RZ threat than Moss.

He has a shot. It'll be very hard no question.

EDIT: Original post math was wrong. Changed above for accuracy.

I said that to my son at the Pitt game, Gronk definitely can break Moss' record.
It looks like Brady sees him as a mismatch anytime they are in the red zone.

Actually he'd need to average 1.4
To break the record, he'll need 24 TDs. He has 3 so he'll need 21 in 15 games or 1.4 per remaining game.....

I suck. Thats embarrassing.

Thanks for the clarification.

Kelce is damn good though. I wouldn't argue with the idea that he's the second best TE in the game.

He destroyed us last year. Very good player.

Seems better than good run and pass blocking too.

I would definitely take him over Jimmy "softer than Charmin" Graham.

But both are far behind Gronk.

My children are neck deep in it. It's ridiculous!
Been doing "common core" math for decades ..... long before it was called common core, or anything for that matter. I think it's a great skill to have.

Gronk will just get better with the competition :)
