Rex's Press Conference re: Pats

According to you, Bill Belichick has only had 4 successful seasons as a head coach, and Brady's only had 4 successful seasons as a quarterback.

Brilliant...

Hello straw man. Nice to meet you. If you break down individual seasons then yes, the 4 winning championship years are the successful years. The rest are commendable. However those championships created a successful overall career for both.

Clever but the SB win was so sweet last Yr. There is something to winning it all...again.

Brilliant...

I will say this the Pats with a healthy Gronk is better than any team in the NFL. Period.

There's no straw man in play here, only your measure of "success". It's a ludicrous measure. I merely illustrated that.

I truly enjoy Rex. Great entertainer!!!!
I like Rex ... loved the Kong line. I liked his remark regarding the personality of a coach the best ... he's absolutely right ... you don't stand a chance unless you coach true to yourself ... was a great opinion. McDaniels and Mangini tried to be Belichick ... utter failure ensued.

In the future should there be a year where we are out of it and he is still in it I would pull for him now that he does not coach the Jets. would love to see him get a ring ... it would be very entertaining. I do not ever want to witness the Jets winning a Super Bowl ... no ... I change that ... I hope the sports world never has to witness the Jets winning the Super Bowl ... ever ... never.

Did i miss something or did he openly state that they would pump their crowd noise through the speaker system? LOL

He loves the spotlight on him, and directly or indirectly makes his players make statements they may not be able to cash? Why in holy hell would anyone want to see someone like that succeed? It would be all me, me, me, me.

Rex Ryan is the complete opposite of a coach you pull for. The players and product on the field are the entertainment. The coaches should be heard from rarely and never, ever take anything away from the players.

All kids are successful today in dodgeball. Everyone gets a trophy.

Jim Kelly and Dan Marino are looked at differently than Joe Montana and Tom Brady.

Success for Montana was to never lose a SB. Success for Brady is to have 5.

I am wondering if he's insane at this point. It's the same shtick everwhere he goes.

So Lewis isn't worth anything.

"He's no Jim Nance," Ryan replied. "What's funny, what I'm saying is I've got a lot of things to be concerned with, but the backup running back, look, I'm going to recognize him. I don't know the name. It's right after a game. I watched it or whatever. Blount is the main runner I see. So we'll see. I don't know. I guess he can try to make me learn his name, I guess. Go ahead. I'm a little nervous about it."

Lol.

The city of Buffalo is loving it which then encourages more boasting and smack talk.

LMFOA! Rexy counting SB's won as an assistant coach to SB's won as a player or a HC!!! The Ryan family, therefore, is a DYNASTY!!!! :D
Like everyone on this forum, and every other football forum, doesn't talk about how many Superbowls 'we' won. If you are on the team and you got a ring, then you won a Superbowl.

Have heard quite a bit how Rex has prepared all season long for the Patriots.. no one has mentioned that BB has studied and prepared for the Bills for 10 days.. while he has a very good record all time, 10 days seems like an unfair advantage for Rex and his crew.

take rex out of the jets but hes the same old rex.

Lol.

For a good portion of his career, Nance was almost two Dion Lewis's

I kind of like Rex. He's like Parcels without the mean streak at his press conferences. Very entertaining and a good contrast in the division as to what the Pats have. I just hope he doesn't come up with one of his once-in-a-while good game plans to beat us on Sunday.

It is interesting. If you look at the comments, his team isn't boasting about beating the Pats.

"I hate the Patriots."

"I want to cover Gronk"

"Gronk is a great actor."

"Brady should have been watching out game instead of going to the theater" (a couple of years ago)

They aren't saying we are gonna kick the Pats ass or they are wimps, etc.

They really aren't saying anything....

Brady today was sweet, "The Colts were getting pushed around pretty good."....Beautiful.

I want to cover Gronk
Custer: "Let me at those Indians."

LOL gimme a break. Congratulations on having twice as many SB wins as Vince Lombardi, Wizwor. :p

Rex was (with a straight face) comparing the ONE ring he won as a POSITION COACH (not even a DC) to the FOUR rings BB won as a HC (conveniently leaving out the two he won as a DC).

If you want to ignore that obvious discrepancy, I'm sure Exponent is hiring.

It probably just slipped his mind that he won those two with the Giants.

Well let's put it this way in Rex/Wizwor Speak - - Jim McNally is twice the champion as Vince Lombardi! :D
