Manning: 530 passing TDs
Brady: 396 passing TDs

Manning: 69,866 yards (Favre 71,838 yards)
Brady: 53,546 yards

If Brady can actually play at a high level until age 42, he will own every meaningless volume stat along with being the GOAT. I just found it interesting. How hilarious if Brady in the end beat Manning at his own stat padding game?

I think this will be Manning's last year so if Brady plays another 3-4 years then I think it is possible.

If the Patriots played in a dome and Brady had Moss his whole career, or any receivers at all for that matter, and you put Peyton Manning in the cold with no receivers. Wonder what those numbers might have looked like.

Extremely doubtful. But since it IS meaningless, how gives a crap?

I don't really care. Brady is better than him. But Manning would have to retire soon, like end of this year, and Brady go another 4+ years to get close.

Well I don't think anyone ever will pass him in one and dones in the playoffs. That one will never be broken
It is actually amazing how many 1-and-dones the guy has. Historically amazing. I bet no one else (or at most, only a very few) have more than half of Manning's historic figure.

I'm not sure but his forehead would be shorter.

After Romo's 4th quarter comeback, people have been praising his ability to lead 4th quarter comebacks. You don't often hear Brady praised in the same way by the national media. So, I looked up the all time leaders on Pro Football Reference. Brady is tied for third.

Trying to put this into the proper perspective, I thought the best way to do it would be to compare 4th qtr comebacks to losses (games where one fails to lead a 4th qtr comeback). I know this doesn't account for various factors, but it seemed like a quick easy way to give better perspective. I divided comebacks by comebacks plus losses. Brady absolutely dominates. 43% of the time he's losing in a 4th quarter, he pulls out a victory. Compared to Manning at 35% and Romo at 34%. Montana unsurprisingly is 2nd at 40%.

I then did the same for game winning drives which is defined by putting your team ahead for the final time in the 4th qtr or overtime. He has 46 4th qtr game winning drives vs 47 losses. That's incredible. Manning has 52 game winning drives vs 77 losses, also outstanding, but way below Brady. Montana 33 vs. 47.

Brady is also the all time leader in both 4th qtr comebacks and game winning drives in the playoffs with 6 and 9 respectively vs. Manning's 1 and 1. Montana has 5 and 5.

Is there any doubt who the greatest ever is?

Here are all the figures below sorted by all time regular season comebacks:

I doubt it will matter long. QBs today regularly toss for 4000 yards, and have more rules protecting them. In 30 years Manning will probably be fifth, surpassed by several players who lived their entire career in this passing era.

Brady has already passed Manning in the stats that matter. Playoff Appearances, Playoff Wins, AFC Championships, SB wins, and SB MVPs (though that's just icing on the cake).

and, Brady has more than respectable volume stats.

This is true. I expect a guy like Luck to play 20 years and average over 4500 yards, and 5000 could be the new norm.

Rules change, and that is why wins are so important. However much the rules favor you, they favor the guy you are facing just as much. That's why is such an important historical gauge, and that's why Tom Brady is far and away the greatest quarterback to ever play professional football in the Super Bowl era.

Manning still needs about 2,000 yards to get the career record. I predict he will get that by November.... Of 2017.
If he keeps playing like he does, and their OL stays allowing sacks, you might be right lol

How dare you shatter Andy Dalton's dreams!

Between this the Jaz/McNally better be reinstated with their new job being control of the headsets, some of you guys are on fire today.

Brady doesn't need to top Manning's REGULAR SEASON stats to be considered the better QB just like Montana didn't have to top Marino's stats. Everyone knows the better QB in both comparison's. Only Manning fans THINK Manning is the better QB. That shows you how intelligent their thought process is.

won't matter. andrew luck will own all the meaningless stats.

I think this will be Manning's last year

After yesterday, I really wonder how the hell he is going to throw in late November.
