Suggs tears achilles, done for the year

Suggs said [Williams] had hurt his arm and began yelling obscenities at her, and Williams said she spat on his chest. She wrote that she heard one of Suggs' friends, who was present in the home, say, “Oh no, Sizz [Suggs’s nickname], come on, don't do that.” When she turned around, according to her complaint, he knocked her to the ground and sat on top of her, grabbing her neck and holding an open bottle of bleach over her.

Williams wrote that Suggs used an obscenity and said he was going to “drown [her] with this bleach.”

She put her hands over the cap, but the cleaner spilled onto her and their son, she wrote. He then told her to get out of the house, dressed and left for the game, she wrote.

In an area in which petitioners are asked to describe “past injuries,” Williams lists “busted lips, broken nose, black eyes, bruises,” though she did not give dates or say how such injuries occurred.

According to court records, “Baltimore City District Court Judge Ronald Alan Karasic wrote that a laceration was visible on Williams’ chest.” Williams also alleged that “[t]hroughout our relationship since early 2007, [Suggs] has punched me in the face and stomach and threatened to take the children from me if I left him. He stole my ID so I could not leave.” Suggs explained to the Sun “that the incident was a family matter and he would not comment.” The Ravens player “also denied that he was in a relationship with Williams,” a denial that strains credulity and seems to contradict Suggs’ claim that this was a “family matter.”

Tell me now that I am a 'POS' for 'celebrating' this guys injury. I don't care what happens to this piece of !@#$. An injury sustained while making millions playing football in which he will get the best medical care money can buy is hardly the worst that should happen to this wife beater.

Couldn't happen to a better guy.

Terrell Suggs is one of the biggest piece of **** on the planet. It has nothing to do with the football field. **** that guy.

There are VERY few players whose injuries make me happy -- Pollard, Vick (if he got hurt more) and not many others. (Honestly, I don't bother tracking the wife-beaters, as there are so many of them.)

However, I'm also not going to get upset. Since Suggs is hurt, some other guy gets a chance, and I'm happier for that guy than I am unhappy for Suggs. There are plenty of good players I'd miss having on the field; Suggs isn't one of them.

That sucks. I hate the guy with a passion, but I never wish serious injuries on anyone. That might be his career. He is going to be 33 in less than a month. It might be tough trying to make a comeback on the edge of 34 next year.
Deer antler spray......

I don't like Suggs as a person and I don't like the ravens. Why some think that I should not feel pleased that this guy is out for the year is beyond me. He is a POS woman beater, with a POS mouth that bad mouths the team the team that I root for and disparages Brady verbally. He plays with little respect for other players heath, just look back couple of weeks ago him going low on a Guy coming back from an injury during a meaningless preseason game. The only Karma here is played back on him from going after Bradford.

What is the dont wish anyone loses their ability to make a living crap?

Drug Dealers?
Goodell?
ISIS?
Bernie Madoff types?
Irsay?

I can think of 1000s of people I would wish that to happen to. Do you happen to notice that most of them have plenty of money to live on if they lost their job? There are bad people out there and people who deserve the karma coming to them.

Go away with that ****.

Agreed, this is a guy with millions, I don't feel bad for him. This is not a 3rd rd draft choice that just signed his first deal.

I didn't think the Rat Birds would make the playoffs before this news, honestly. Ngata was a big loss and their offense is hot garbage. Steve Smith is their best receiver and he's 104-years-old.

The race is wide open. The Colts have not improved - they've probably regressed (and if TY is out for any length of time, by a lot). Houston is meh.

Denver looks like they're getting ready to implode, I agree. if they make the playoffs, it's because of their D, and they do have a good one, unless Ware wears down again or they get any significant injuries.

Two AFC East teams should make it - the AFC East schedule is popcorn (AFC South and NFC East). I wouldn't be shocked if 3 came from the East this year, since the North plays the West.

I want to not care but Baltimore has just earned my respect, even if I hate them.
Sucks for their defense. I have some injury-sympathy for them.

That said, this is pretty big news for the AFC. Even with a growing secondary, I feel we're handedly the best team in the AFC, and Suggs out only further solidifies that.

Broncos defense is stout as hell. Their offense? Very tough to evaluate based on last night, but based on that slim sample they are not looking very good. But again, it is not that fair to say based on one game against a traditionally tough defense....but I admit Manning looked bad, a fraction of his peak self.

I'd say our main concerns are: AFC east (in order: Bills, Miami, Jests), Broncos, Ravens (even w/o Suggs)

Agree completely
He is not missed
Give a newbie a shot at his spot

Physically speaking, Suggs is a really ugly guy.

This isn't little league. In big business, we cheer whatever weakens our competitors. So Terrell can't play this year, big deal. He's still getting paid. It's not like he's paralyzed.

Yeah, it's been a weird day. What's supposed to be the class of the AFC looks a lot worse than I thought. Our division looks better than I thought.

Going up against NE 2x a year every year gotta rub off on you somehow. I never felt the AFCE was as bad as most believed. Basically each of those teams started the season at -1.5 wins, ie 0 - ~1.5. Tough to make the playoffs or look good W-L-wise, starting with that. And maybe finally they have busted out a bit. It seems to me it's probably a good thing. NE worst playoff results seems happened when AFCE was weakest, and best when battle tested, so... they got that going for them...

Since every player is vulnerable to a season or career-ending injury every time they step on the practice or playing field and since I believe in Karma, I will just say that I don't want this to happen to any player, but, if it has to happen to a player, I'm not going to lose any sleep if it happens to a guy like Suggs.
