The last two plays were weird, Steve Smith drops the game winning TD, and the last play should have been interference, no ifs ands or buts. Don't know what game the refs were watching. Defender never turned around blocking the receiver from catching the ball, hit defenders arm, deflects to other defender. Classic PI.

I give Baltimore credit for not flipping out, after all, they won a Super Bowl on a non call that was definitely interference.
I can't figure out what the difference is between that play and the play Chung got called for DPI on a few nights ago.

joe flacco on his aqib talib INT -"It was a leap of faith play" not kidding.

baltimore/denver's D are both legit..
ours looked like hot garbage against the run/pass.

LOL what?

Denver was playing against a team with exactly 0 weapons outside of a 36 year old Steve Smith.

Let me repeat myself. They're the champs. 31 other teams are not. That same team you want to avoid? We've beaten them before. More than once. But you can have your "smarts" if you want. Champions can't pick and choose who they have to go through to get the title, the ring, the trophy, etc.
You don't have to repeat something that's irrelevant for the sake of this discussion. And it's not a question about choosing, but what would be better for the Pats. Pretty simple really.

More like "An act of stupidity". No way should have Flacco made that throw.

I get it. Easier opponent means easier time winning. But that doesn't matter, because you can't choose who we face anyway. IMO, that shouldn't be the mindset of any champion, though. You're supposed to WANT to beat the best of the best if you wanna be the absolute best.

You can't pick and choose your opponents, but I sure as heck know I root for the weaker teams to upset the stronger ones to make the road easier for us.

You think that Italian woman none of us have ever heard of who won the U.S. Open this weekend was upset when that other Italian woman none of us had ever heard of beat Serena Williams in the semis?

If she did, she's unlikely to repeat. the greats think they can beat anyone and certainly don't rely on the luck of the draw.

.

Agree 100%. I know our defense has been called on those, totally got a way with it, NFL wants manning in the SB.

Heading into SNF, let's just take a moment to remember that Cris Collinsworth once said this:

I'm not gonna deny it, I walk around with hundred dollar bills hanging out of my pocket...I like girls that aren't too bright because you can trick 'em a little bit...high school girls love me. Fourteen to eighteen, I'm a big star with them. As soon as they mature, after they turn 18 years old, they start to figure it out.

If she did, she's unlikely to repeat.
Considering she retired after the tournament, I'd say she's very unlikely to repeat.

The Patriots are a great team, but that doesn't mean they can beat every single team every single week.

All that matters in winning the Super Bowl. As far as history is concerned, the teams we beat to do it are irrelevant.

They should be careful what they wish for. I still think Seattle is the best team in the NFC, and would kill Denver again.

Just saw this on FB.....

The fact that he assumes anyone who didn't return his call is "afraid to speak out" is kinda telling.

I also find it a little odd that the various factual inaccuracies in that article--including failing to understand what rule was broken in Spygate, and that Natta directly contradicts things he's previously forcefully stated--are still uncorrected.

I agree. You beat what's put in front of you. If you hope for weaker teams, you've already lost because you don't have the self-confidence to win.
