That's good for him. There have been rumblings that he was not doing what he was supposed to here and that's why he was released. I don't know, but I always liked the guy. I hope he plays well in 14 of the 16 games this season (assuming he gets into every game). I still kind of wish he was on our roster still.

Its Blount and Lewis which sounds like a bad R and B group but a very potent combo and Lewis looked absolutely electric im sure the competition commitee will look into how we lost Vareen but got a more capable clone for a 10th of the cost.

Clone Gate coming your way soon

Edelman
Lewis
Butler
Something needs to be done.

I too wish him well. I still don't understand what happened with him and apparently he can't either. He was classy in his remarks when he was let go.

If I would have to guess i would think behind closed doors he either showed little to no concern about being late to practice or when BB or his coaches brought it up im guessing he shrugged it off and didnt show the discipline that BB expects them to have.
But perhaps we will never truly know.

BB in the Letterman interview said that it was because they got Blount but he looked uncomfortable with the question about what happened with Gray not playing and this was before he was let go.

His being cut was very surprising to me. I thought he was having a great camp. He was working hard and saying all the right things. He was even catching the ball well. I thought he would have been a MUCH better choice on the roster than White.

There has to be more to this than just ability that we won't ever know. And it wasn't just a numbers game. They could have signed him to the PS after he cleared waivers and they didn't. Now we are left without a true back up to LGB. Instead we keep a back up 3rd down back who has never fallen forward or made anybody miss on a run, and we aren't truly sure he can pass block. It makes no sense, and as you know, I VERY rarely question Bill's personnel decisions.

I have to believe that BB knows something about Cadet that we haven't seen. Bolden looked really slow the other night.

I'm g;lad you brought up Cadet. It makes the Gray cut even more puzzling. Think about it, they kept ANOTHER 3rd down back who was injured, over a semi-proven RB. So now we have THREE 3rd down backs, and one full time RB. ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I know it's puzzling but maybe our offense this season is going to rely on more pass type offensive weapons. Idk but I trust BB.

This shows how little Belichick thought of Gray. Belichick would rather have Lewis as the backup 1st down RB than Gray.

I believe that Bolden and Cadet are BOTH backups at BOTH positions.

And it seems that White is being given yet another year to develop.

Many have us needing only four running backs, especially if the FB role is to be taken by an OL or TE.

OPEN QUESTIONS
What player will be cut when Blount comes back? Will that player be a running back?

Gray sucked and his end zone celebration was awkward.

I, like many of you, was surprised to see the cut. I felt the kid did enough to earn a spot. But alas, he is gone. To those bringing up Cadet, the one thing that interests me is that he has good size. I wonder if they will use him more to run between the tackles at times during games. Bolden showed he could do it during his rookie season (and that is what he did a lot in college), but he has not shown that same ability in the years that followed. He really was not very impressive on Thursday night. Blount will be the workhorse, and I think he's more than capable. I wonder if Cadet will be used to spell him at times.

I believe that Cadet can be the backup to use between the tackles. Also, as was shown, we can have a game plan with Lewis as the primary back.

Seems logical, why carry 5 RBs or maybe a safety? Maybe White?

Why is this a thread? Gray is now a Patriot washout and a Dolphin backup.
