Coming from fans of a team who cheated the cap, holds the record for the highest fine ever levied on an NFL team (more than twice the fine on the Pats, adjusted for inflation), and basically bought their only two super bowl trophies...this is rich!

When you play with fire like that, you don't get away unscathed. In their zeal to paint the Pats as villains, ESPN* and NFL* have lost tons of credibility.

Especially the latter. Every forum or comment section I read, even Pats haters are lamenting about how ****ty the NFL* has become.

Good! Not only does this mean lost revenue for the NFL*, it shows that other teams' fans' experience is becoming bitter. You wanted to go all out on the Pats, *********ers? Now enjoy knowing that your beloved league is a sham, and the big bad Pats will STILL rub it in your face every week, while there isn't squat you can do about it.

Manning will throw for 40+ TD's with 4,500 +- 200 yards this year. He is still a top 5 QB (Rodgers, Luck, Brees, Big Ben, PM). Guys like Wilson, Romo, Rivers are not at his level.

Now we get this AP article from Yahoo, which contains two factual errors in the first 7 sentences:

1. It was the booth-to-sideline communications that were disrupted, not sideline-to-QB
2. The Pats weren't penalized for taping signals. Taping signals is legal.

Even an article like this one, which takes a generally measured approach to the whole "Pats are cheaters!" angle, still has innuendo and misunderstanding of basic facts as its leading points.

So far today, I've seen quotes from Bill O'Brien, Belichick, Rex Ryan and Mike Pettine saying that they have issues with the wireless signals in just about every game no matter where they are, and Gary Kubiak and Mike McCarthy have said things to similar effect without being quite so emphatic. Mike Tomlin stands alone as a butthurt whiner trying to avoid accountability for his team's godawful performance.

If such a self-evidently bogus accusation as this one has legs, I think we can just assume that every game the Pats win this year will carry some kind of controversy.

The real problem the other 31 teams have with the Patriots is TOMMY GATE. I think there is a mistake in the chart because the Browns haven't started a QB in years.

The great hilarity here is that pasting this stuff isn't even time consuming. It takes about 5 minutes on any AFC `rival` forum to find about 10 gems of the most pathetic crying you've ever seen. It'll take 30 seconds in PFT comments.

By week 17 this thread will be a towering monument to how much Brady and Belichick's 15 year domination has destroyed the mental state of opposing fan bases.

We knew the 4th ring was going to put the haters over the edge, and it has, in more spectacular and hilarious fashion than any of us dared dream.

The Patriots have absolutely just ruined everyone lol.

They've got battered Peyton syndrome over there. After the Ravens playoff loss, he stunk. Next season he was the number 1 QB. Then the Sea-Chickens pounded the snot out of him and they wanted him gone. He stinks, he's old and all he has done is choke in the playoffs. Then last year he's best QB again. Then they wanted him gone.

My teenage daughter blows in the door and to her room, but not before giving me a jab. Her and her friends ask me why I'm watching that 'fake football' while I'm watching the season opener. They all proceed to tell me all about the cheating the Patriots do and how the NFL is fixed. She neither follows football nor likes it, but sure as hell knows all the stuff we biatch about on here.

She tells me "everyone knows that dad... it's all fake" she giggles along with her friends. Then both my sons agree with her. "Yeah dad get with the times". I thought you knew that.

This is the NFL's next generation of revenue?

I've progressively started to feel the same way. I think this sentiment is growing across the country. The NFL not absolutely crushing Belichick and the Patriots back in 2007, as well as not vacating their titles won via cheating, is finally starting to bite them in the ass.

Just read the Broncos board. We are so far into these guys heads we really have to accept our roles and embrace the hate. Their paranoia is out of control and I can only hope that the our guys are in the other players heads too.

I also wasn't able to find any conversation about the cheating they did around the salary cap and penalties they got for that. Also didn't see them saying the NFL should strip those titles for cheating.

They must be living in a glass house.

I'm pretty sure you can get some real beauties off a Ravens board. They already are permanently damaged from last years playoff loss. Not that it took a lot to get them over the edge as they have demonstrated often enough that you could fit their collective intelligence in a thimble and still have room for your thumb.
