I love being the villain.

Hahaha, Shiftgate,

Every single one of those players complaining is such a loser. It truly became comical last night. I thought the comedy couldn't get any better after the thread we had when McNally's bathroom trip was discovered. Guess I was wrong.

I got into it with a guy in FB last night who threw out the "cheaters" line. When I checked out his page, he had SEAHAWKS all over it. I posted a reply of Seahawks Whiner. He responded that they lost the SB rather than us winning it. I couldn't resist dropping a "you mad Bro?" And pointed out that even Sherman admits we won it on the field.
It seems that almost every brain dead cheater post comes from fans of teams we've beaten. I know we were all crushed by the 2 SB losses to the GI ants, but I don't think we whined like these losers have. And I'm not just talking Seahawk fans.

I used to. I relished it during the 2007 season. Over time it's worn on me. Deflategate broke me. Just sick of the bs accusations. Now I argue when I used to just laugh and mock.

It's sad that those who are supposed to administer this league have turned the NFL into a cluster***k, but it's not something that you should allow to get under your skin. Just be thankful that Malcolm Butler made the greatest defensive play in NFL history. Every time I think of Goody and the Jests, and all the other haters, and how unmercifully cruel that ending was in SB 49, a big grin comes over my face and all is well. Here it comes now. LOL

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who was able to tune out all the bs a week BEFORE the SB was played. I've enjoyed every single minute of the post SB bs. I'll even go back and watch the celebrations again every now and then.

I we're going rogue, the Flyin' Elvis logo needs a more sinister expression

I want at least five new ridiculous accusations every week. I'm going to grow a handlebar moustache just so I have something to twirl while other teams and their fans cry. Whatever they say, I'll respond with, "But can you proooove it?!?" and cackle maniacally.

The hate. I loves it.
I know there are a few here that don't and i understand why, but there is nothing we can do about it, its going to go on for the rest of the year. But since theres nothing that can be done i'm just accepting that we are villians and i want to be the best villian i can be.

I for one am tired of it. It's wearing me down. I want it gone. I don't want to listen to this BS anymore. I don't want to hear this every game, over and over and over for every play, every problem. It's so petty now.
I just want to sit and drink and watch the game inpeace!

I am enjoying this. I am becoming more comfortable with the bad guy role. I tell opposing fans that their team had better keep an eye on the playbook.

Even the new Brady Under Armour commercial shown during the game had a nice edge to it

Yeah, but I lived in NYC during most of that time. My fault I know. My post comes accross more depressing than I intended. I used to laugh when people called the Pats cheaters. I used to say if you're not cheating, you're not trying. But I found myself arguing the merits more and more. After reading the Wells report, I argue the merits to the death to anyone who accuses them of deflating the balls. Occasionally, someone is willing to hear out the facts, but not usually.

I don't waste any energy on them.

One thing you brought up that I don't think many people know about is the "if you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin' history. During one of the Top Ten shows on espn or nfln about the Oakland Raiders, George Atkinson proudly proclaimed that motto as the one that the Raiders of his era lived by. I think it's funny now that the fans of that same team are still crying over a legit ruling that went against them in 2001.

salty bills fan

hate is all around us. i love it

I'll admit...as much as I hate all the "Gate" talk in the media, I actually LOVE that our Patriots are now....(read slowly with a deep cinema voice) THE MOST HATED TEAM IN AMERICA!!!

Hell yeah! I'm in heaven!

Who on earth would want opposing fans to love our team? Not me! I hope the Patriots are the cause of more crying children (after their team loses to us) than an old-fashioned spanking!

Has someone made a companion thread to Alamo's "Predict the Score" thread? Something along the lines of "Predict the Next Crackpot Cheating Allegation"

I was always jealous of the old school Raiders to be honest ...

Before 2003-2004 it was like we were Gumby or Barney.

I was thinking that this year's slogan should be along the line of win Superbowl #50 for the Patriot haters. How awesome would it be to see Roger handing over the Lombardi to the Patriots! I listened to Eddie George on Dan Patrick the other day talking about Patriot's cheating. He brought up the offensive play against the Ravens......OMG, I felt sorry for him. At least someone whispered in Jerry Rice's ear and he reneged. Thus, logic and truth will never influence let alone persuade the public. We are the best, have been for over a decade. Need a slogan of arrogance. You mad bro?

I don't mind being the villain, but I don't like how people diminish the Patriots accomplishments by baseless cheating allegations.
Nor do I. And this "play the villain/embrace the hate" nonsense is just a juvenile way of playing into that. This team doesn't need to assume that fake role or persona or whatever you want to call it because it diminishes the fact New England simply is BETTER in how it goes about its business.

Aw, man, I'm bummed you don't approve of my life choices. No more having fun, I promise!

What does my post response to Rob have to do with your "life choices" or having fun?

Read your post again. Then read the thread topic. Then read who started the thread. Come on, now.
