What are the PSI of footballs, Now that NFL is going to measure PSI of footballs at kickoff and also at half- time. Are they even going to release this info to public or just keep it a secret at it might help Patriots argument they didn't cheat.

If I were Kraft at the very least I would do my own measuring during every game and publish the results afterwards. No matter what the NFL does. But he is most probably too busy counting his money to bother.

Last night's game was close to room temperature, but it was raining. That would have been a great game to demonstrate the effects of rain on the psi levels of the footballs. They should have measured the balls immediately after the game. Exponent's rain simulation was a joke and we could have proven it last night. How great would it have been to wake up to a report showing both teams' balls lost pressure by varying amounts due to the rain and varying wetness of each ball? And there is little doubt in my mind that the results would have shown that.

Are the NFL planning on releasing these figures?

They could become very embarrassing for the NFL if they prove our theories correct. I would think if figures back their assessments they will release them but, if they don't, I have no faith the NFL will be revealing those figures and conceding they were wrong.

Methinks something mysterious happened to these vaunted measurements. These numbers only matter when the NFL* accuses the Pats of heinous activity.

You won't hear anything about psi levels unless they are below regulation level. Then on top of that you won't hear it if other game balls are affected the same way (below regulation) when played in inclement weather.

I was expecting to see tv shots of two or more balls with gauges attached sitting on the sidelines all game. And the weather was perfect for this experiment.

So the refs are required to document the PSI measurements only at some games, and the league doesn't plan to release the measurements publicly? I thought the league wanted full transparency. Or is it only when it fits their agenda?

I heard the NFL or refs were going to let the balls warm up first before officially measuring them

I really hope that's not the case

Come on now.. You really think the NFL is going to release information that could exonerate the Patriots after this whole fiasco??? Especially after they got beat in court.

The NFL probably didn't measure the footballs at all last night to begin with. They just said they were going to but didn't because they didn't want a record of those measurements.
