Well and Vincent...very helpful

We knew that what they (i.e. Vincent/Wells) had testified to was very helpful to us.

NFL takes legal positions no one agrees with...lol

He's going to the game. Lots of party invitations

Complete absence of anything but the thinnest of circumstantial evidence...

plus the fact that they were proceeding under a policy (mentioned policy name) that was never given to players

Interview ending. Kessler is on to Gillette Stadium. I'm guessing that he won't have to pay for entrance.

I can hear Kessler just smirking in his responses. LOL. Great stuff.

Mentions the limit of 4 hours to present entire defense (remember getting caught in this lie, NFL?). Didn't think they'd have time to call for McNally/Jastremski as a result.

At end of 11 hours, Goodell asked if either party thought they should be brought in for him to question, and the NFL said 'no'.

Didn't Goodell say in a recent interview something to the effect that both sides, in particular, the union side, said they weren't necessary? Kessler's response sounds slightly different. Maybe just a case of semantics or shading or another case of Goodell not being forthcoming.

Well, Kessler emphasized the 4 hour restriction originally placed upon the hearing, and the lack of access to the Wells interview notes. He was basically saying that, given what little time they had, he couldn't waste any trying to refute arguments that never made it into the Wells report.

Kessler on WEEI

Not seeing this posted anywhere on the site. I'm sure the audio will be up soon. I thought he barely disguised his disdain for the NFL. He also said he's taking the train to Foxboro for tonight's game.

Kessler isn’t worried because he said all the NFL will use is “the exact same arguments to Judge Berman that he rejected. They have a one-note defense,” he added.

LOL of course. Why would anyone be worried about the NFL and their incompetent legal team? Especially someone like Kessler.

I mean, what can they really argue besides "Berman is required to defer to Goodell's judgment as arbitrator on the matters of whether or not the CBA allows him to suspend Brady and whether or not Pash's testimony is cumulative, and Goodell judged that he was allowed to suspend Brady and that Pash's testimony was cumulative." That's all they really have at this point.

It really wasn't what he said but the way he said it. In the transcripts they are so polite to each other even though you know they are legally at each other's throats. Maybe now the case is over Kessler doesn't need to be polite anymore.

No, flat out, Goodell's a liar yet again.

The union didn't call them to testify because of the ridiculous 4 hour limit and secondarily because they could not see the Wells notes from their prior interviews. You run the risk of them answering a question in a slightly different way and you not even realizing it, while the sleazy side does.

So the NFL decided that the ball boy testimony can't help them at all and the union was unsure, but under time pressure, and so they made the safer choice by agreeing.

I would love some Bob Kraft words on Kessler ...
That would totally piss off some of the owners ... and they deserve it.
Fairness is how all sports leagues should be run.
Players should have their case processed similar to our judicial system ... in terms of rights, discovery of evidence, know the specific charges and innocent until proven guilty might be a welcome change ... won't happen though.

I love how he debunked Goodell's innuendo on this topic from his interview with Mike and Mike. Only had 4 hours, their favorable testimony already on record, therefore no need.

for those going to the game, buy that man a beer.
