I hate goodell too but the dude deserves much worse than a 4 game suspension.

His 'work' fired him. Beyond that, Goodell has no business. He's not the judicial system (although he seems to believe he's superior to the judicial system).

Goes back to Kessler's Law of the Shop issues on Notice and Consistency. Tell me the number of players injured due to an intrasquad practice fight. Then tell me how many times those players were suspended by the NFL.

Amazing that a Jets player gets injured, and suddenly His Holiness cares.

Never. And he only suspended IK because he's a FORMER Jet. FFS, even Richardson thought he was gonna get extra games for his resisting arrest, but since he's a Jet, swept under the rug.

What about all those other fights between teammates where guys punched each other and did not break each other's jaws? The Idiot Goodell is opening a can of worms. Steve Smith would have many seasons of suspensions under his belt by now.

I think its insanity. Is this IK's first incident/penalty? I honestly don't know. This only makes sense if he has a prior history.

But if we are shelling out 4 games for fighting in practice #iverson then wtf is going to happen in games? Guys get fired up, emotions run high. Every incident does not deserve a 25% of your paycheck penalty.

You're telling me if it was JJ Watt that got in a fight and broke Mallet's jaw he's getting suspended 4 games?

I hope the NFLPA gets Kessler on the case. Precedent and notice...how long was Steve Smith suspended for breaking his teammates jaw? O, he wasn't? Well surely the league fined...they didn't? Well surely there was some sort of team punishment, right? Well ****, Sheriff Roger is at it again!

Yeah really. For anyone else it's swift punishment but if it's a Jet then it's "we will let the legal process play out first."

Maybe IK was fired by his team but that doesn't mean he was fired.

He ultimately works for the NFL and the teams are just branches of employment.

He deserves 4 games, he deserves more to be frank.

If one of our guys punched Brady I get the feeling no one would be too happy about it.

Yep. Anyone else would have been put on the exempt list the same way Hardy and Peterson were.

Also, not sure about working for the NFL. Pretty sure his checks were being signed by Woody.

It's not just a fight but apparently it wad a fight over money, gambling? Lots of issues at work here.

I'll fight the good fight for the players but not the scum of the nfl who deserve what they get.

It was over $600 Geno had stiffed the kid for. He laid out for tickets and hotel for Geno to attend his football camp, Geno didn't show, didn't pay up, then got pissy and stuck his finger in Ik's face.

I think it's pretty instructive that not a single player leapt to Geno's defense.
