Per Ian Rapaport via PFT. Faces a 4 game suspension for breaking Jets QB Geno Smith's jaw.

And now Goodell is going to try to cement his position as the god of individual team events and intra-locker room issues. Will the owners finally put a stop to this?

Seriously, I've been waiting on that one forever. Probably shouldn't be, though. Goodell will be like "hey man he's already suspended, I can't extend his suspension! Except I have done that to others in the past, but don't worry about that."

He was already fired by his employer. Let teams handle their own.

This is like a principal giving a kid a week's detention after his parents already grounded him for punching his little sister.

So a player fighting another grown man should get more than Greg Hardy got for almost killing his girlfriend or Ray Rice got for knocking out a defenseless woman?

It will be very interesting how he spins that punching Geno Smith is worse than punching a girl.

Rice and hardy both got more games. The paths were different I admit but being wrong then doesn't mean he's wrong now.

Like it'll make a difference anyways though. I'd be interested more if it was a guy actually on the roster at the moment.
