Game From 1992 John Madden Says Teams Usually Videotape Your Signal Calling

I still don't understand why people are talking about "stealing signals." They are giving the signals in front of the whole world and you can tape anything you want. I thought the only stipulations were where you could set up your camera and that you couldn't use that recording during the same game.

how on earth did you find that? thats incredible

Doesn't somebody here have a barstool connection?

For some reason my video has been stuck at 95% processing so that's why it only has the picture of jimmy johnson, not sure what the deal is.

This game just happened to be a game I watched about a week ago. I didn't post it right away since everybody was so involved in deflategate discussions. I was waiting for the right time and then the ESPN story came out.

Kismet. It would be the most pleasant paradox if this attack on the Pats unearths information that finally changes the narrative. :)

Well done, this should grab some legs in a bit if all goes well ;)
Should try to get this article out to some high profile people if you have connections.

It hasn't yet, and may never. I posted this to both Curran and Giardis Facebook pages. That was a few hours ago. Zippo from either of them. One guy from Providence tweeted it out, other than that nada.

Why aren't they covering this? Why not when presented with is do you not immediately post it?

Answer: Comcast and their editors. Disgusting.

Great thing about this video is, how nonchalant Madden is about it, saying it like it's common practice and no big deal. And guess what, it was common and it was no big deal.

Just like air pressure. Nobody gave a crap until the NFL turned it into one.

Where is the "Edward Snowden" of the NFL? Need some kind of wikileaks.

The really criminal aspect of all this is that for decades we had to watch these games in 480i resolution.

We basically had to guess what was happening on the field compared to what we get to see today!

Not true. The games looked very sharp on tube TVs like Sony Trinitrons and things like that. My last 2 TVs before my first flatscreen were Sony Trinitron tube TVs (1990-2006) and with regular cable TV (not HD cable), and the picture was phenomenal. Don't forget, it's all relative, the TVs were optimized for the technology of the time, so 480i (and lower) looked good due to the TVs of that time.

Example, when I plug older video game systems (Sega Saturn, Sony Playstion 1, etc) into my current TV, the games look horrible because they weren't made for 1080p. But when I played them on my old TV, they looked great. Visa Versa I'm sure (Playstation 4 on an old TV).
