Patriots’ full response to latest ESPN report

The New England Patriots are led by an owner whose well-documented efforts on league-wide initiatives – from TV contracts to preventing a work stoppage – have earned him the reputation as one of the best in the NFL.
Yp he is one of the best for NFL 31 teams and fans just not for The Patriots, and he acknowledge that his own team cheated twice, so yes KRAFT is NFL BEST

It would help if some of you STOP giving them ratings.

No it wouldn't, 31 other fan bases are loving this. It's harmless for people here to click, ESPN isn't going anywhere without a lawsuit. And that lawsuit isn't coming because Kraft only 'claims' to care about the public image of his team and if backing up that claim pisses off the other 31 owners then he won't do it.

Pats "PR" staff couldn't come out with a better statement than that pathetically weak sauce thing?

Is someone over there ever going to light a fire under Stacy James's azz? Or just fire him already and hire someone who can actually handle the job??

Maybe the Pats organization shouldn't say anything...its the only way to shut people up is to ignore them...people in general are sheep....drink Brawndo!

No they didn't. Bill Belicheck in his press conference said that he violated the memo because he misinterpreted the "for use during the game" part of it. He never addressed the placement thing because it was irrelevant. Even if he did, he still misinterpreted the "for use during the game" part.

Are you a troll, or a Kraft employee?

How so? They gave their tapes to the league to be destroyed. BB came out in a presser and said he interpreted the league's memo incorrectly. The Pats accepted their punishment.

I'm not sure how else they could have handled it. It's not like they weren't taping signals and the league said they were.
Not ignoring the questions . Keeping quiet and releasing statements. Like BB said in his mona lisa vito presser - "Other teams were also doing it". They shouldve done it in 2007.
Instead we just accepted everything and we are still facing the brunt of it.

Stacey james is one of the good guys. Its not his fault about the PR statement. This comes from ownership. They couldve very well called a presser and went bombastic but they just release some statements.

OK, I have to admit that even though Kraft badly handles the how framegate ****, I wasn't as annoyed as some. I think he thought he could whine but we would never win, and n0-ne else would be punished. As i said, really wrong, but maybe well intentioned

However, I now demand we go nuclear...they have declared war and I say we give them their wish.

And bad statements at that. If someone accuses you of six different things and your response statement spends a lot of words and detail denying exactly one of those things you are practically instructing people to think "hmm -- must be something to the other stuff, then".

Worthless response by the Patriots. Denies barely anything, and the whole self-congratulatory bit at the end isn't going to impress anyone. Kraft invited this kind of retort by his repeated leg-humping of the other owners and rawg. But if Brady getting crucified, the lost draft-picks, and a million other hit pieces dropped since last January aren't going to get Kraft to stick up for his team, nothing will. He probably thinks he can hug it out at the next owners meeting and everything will be fine. What a moron.

You'd have to be a fool to believe this league isn't going to try to stick it at the Patriots every chance they can, either on or off the field.

The Kraft apologists are out in full force today, I see.

Look, the man deserve a whole heck of a lot of praise for keeping the team here and building it into the successful brand that it is today. But the way he has thrown his team and it's fans under the bus, on two occasions now, is absolutely inexcusable.

Do something or hand over the reigns to your son, Bender Bob.

I'm sick of listening to millionaire athletes and coaches whining through the media about "cheating" simply because they're not good enough to beat our team.

The NFL is doing a good job of making me hate football.
I think this is the emerging Goodell scorched earth strategy for retribution - to so sour the Pats fan base on the game that they drop away and leave Kraft financially weakened and, in Goodell's happiest imaginings, forced to sell the franchise to a dope no smarter than the rest of the grade B intellects who inhabit the owners club. Regression to the mean finally achieved!

That's a bit of a long con. Doubt he's that dubious and even more doubtful the Kraft's are ever selling.

PM me the number to your drug dealer please. It appears as if he's getting that fire.

All everyone is seeing is what this report says about the Pats. This looks worse for Goodel and the Nfl if he had evidence destroyed to stave off a senate hearing.
I don't doubt Goodell was worried about a Senate hearing. Not for the sake of the Patriots but can you imagine what they might uncover about the NFL? At that time, the NFL still held it's tax-exempt status. If the feds had decided to revoke it, they might have made them pay back taxes and I can imagine that would have been quite a bill. As they've decided to give up the tax-exempt status, they start paying this year.

This won't change anything unless Kraft decides to take action against the network.

He already did. They are going to go broke paying the rights agreement he suckered then into as cable TV and ESPNs supremacy wanes and people use the internet, netflicks and other means to get all the sports entertainment they want.

I'm sure they'd love to find a smart guy that could ameliorate that problem so ESPN remains profitable, while the NFL maintains their agreement.

Except they are fcking with the only guy smart enough to do it.

That's what you call Iron Man level irony.
