Week one historically has some upsets nobody sees coming. I usually get wrecked in my pick em leagues. Some I find interesting.

Indy @ Buffalo - I think Rex will be more than happy to ground and pound at Indy's weakness and he'll scheme to confuse Luck into turnovers. I'd put this one in the highly likely category and not just because I hate the Colts and would love to see the Bills blow them out.

Seattle @ St Louis - Teams coming off the SB loss have had a hard time and the Rams have given the Hawks fits. Probably a coin toss game given the venue but nationally I'm sure everybody likes the Hawks.

Carolina @ Jax - I think the Jags are going to be better than people think and by that I mean a 6 win team which is twice last year's total. Carolina hasn't been a good road team and was a crappy division winner last year.

Balt @ Denver - They have to still be stinging from last year's blowout and I wouldn't bet this game given it's Manning of September and not January but I wouldn't be shocked either.

Cincy @ Oak - I think the Raiders will be a tough out at home at least this year and I think this is the year the Bengals fall back.

Denver is favoured ? I agree on BUF and BAL. maybe STL as well.

Who is the QB for St. Louis?

Nick Foles. He only has to play decent and not turn the ball over and perhaps most importantly stay healthy like Bradford could not and they are a scary team.

If McCoy plays - how many yards does he get vs Indy ?

bills I see winning ravens and rams also could pull out a close win

Baltimore@Denver can't really be an upset game they are pretty much on the same level. It wouldn't be a surprise/shock if either won.

Good selections, though I suspect Baltimore is going to lose convincingly. Denver's defense looks to be legit and I doubt either Manning or Flacco are going to be in playoff form. :)

Everyone on the Patriots schedule from week 2 onward when they see what a fired up Brady looks like.

From the perspective of picking games weeks one and seventeen are the most difficult imo.

Denver's o-line looks terrible. Plus they have a 39 year old QB who can't throw learning a new offense.

Hasn't Manning historically been pretty good against Raven defenses?

Yeah he's done very well against them for the most part. Although that playoff game he won there was brutal. Friggin Ray Lewis broke up two easy Ed Reed interceptions. Man Peyton's SB run was one of the worst ever.

The Patriots o-line will be worse than Denver if they trade Solder or Vollmer to gain some salary cap space.
Imagine Cannon protecting Brady's blind side.

I think Denver is being way underrated. That is a damn good team. I think they'll handle Baltimore fairly easily. Indy @ BUF is fascinating. That crowd will be revved, and that rush knows how to get home. I like the Bills there. Either way, I look forward to the yearly overreacting to week 1. You know how much week 1 matters? The last 3 times the Pats have lost their opener, they've won the Super Bowl. The last 9 times they've won their opener, they haven't won the Super Bowl.

I'm going to have to go with Baltimore over Denver even though it has been mentioned several times. Denver won't be very good this year. It's hilarious watching their fans overrated their defense based on preseason though. Happens every year with them though. Their fans always crown them SB champs in August.

I'm going with Raiders over Bengals.
I like the Raiders this year. Maybe they can even go all the way... well NO, but maybe a winning record!

I think Buffalo beats Indianapolis handily.

I don't think we'll know until Week 15ish as to whether or not it was actually an upset or not. Dome team outside is a dome team outside, no matter who they're playing, after all.
