LOL Palmer? Really!?!?!

The NFL is such a joke.

They cant ignore it when we win the Superbowl again.

By the way, can anyone else not wait until we stomp the colts and luck? Whiny bit****s!

Brees is the outlier not Palmer, it's about which teams will be in the Super Bowl. Lousy Saints or Defending Champions. Hmmm.

When the Drive for Five successfully concludes at SB50, it's got all the hallmarks of a wonderful Mastercard ad.

Still waiting for someone to convince me why I should believe NE games this year (and beyond) will be refereed fairly.

And yes, the NFL won't be so stupid as to outright tell the ref to cheat (though you never know), but all they have to do is have their toady Blandino (or whoever grades the refs) downgrade correct close calls for NE, upgrade incorrect close calls against NE, and the refs will get the message.

Colts should hang a new banner next year after they get bounced out of the postseason again.

"Predicted by media to go to Superbowl in 2015."

Because the NFL and its refs are separate entities. Remember the replacement refs? That was because the NFL and Ref association was in a fight over money.

Pats were very wise during all their blasting of this process to never bring the referees specifically into question (when we all know Anderson never even measured the balls). The games wont be anymore "rigged" then normal. Not to say that the games are on the level, just that they won't be any worse than normal.

Just IMO, if it was going to happen it would've been in the super bowl that they screwed us (though there were some terrible calls against us).

How amazingly petty. Was Vincent behind this? Looks like they're poised to make yet another push on behalf of Forehead Omaha.

Carson Palmer?! LMAO No, I'm really losing it over here . . . LMAO

And didn't TB12 just beat Russell Wilson from 10 down to start the 4th quarter of a SB, a QB who EVERYONE said had the better D?

Good points all, more's the pity.

Unfortunately, that doesn't refute the argument that Blandino will ensure that, OVER TIME, refs get the message that it's better for them career-wise to rule against the Pats. While doing so, he would ensure that post-season refs would be ones who, on the whole, had a propensity to rule against the Pats.

There are two possible arguments against that policy, that I see:

1. What's been done to the Pats in the past does not need an explicit conspiracy to explain it; a bunch of mules all pulling in the same direction would suffice. This would have to be a real conspiracy, with all the risks associated with that, or else would require some real management skill from above Blandino to work without being one.

2. If it goes too far, then the media could actually notice and have a backlash.
