According to @WebsterOnTV .. Former Denver WR Nathan Palmer was signed to #Patriots Practice Squad.

1 reception on 4 targets for -4 yards. But he does run a <4.4 40.

It's not too often you have a practice squad player who is 82nd in NFL history at something.

(Except when that thing is negative receiving yardage.)

1 reception for -4 yards in his career.

Maybe Belichick really likes the way he sings:

Singing Career
Nathan first began singing in the angelic choir and soon moved on to the teenage choir where vocal growth began to show. At the young age of 20, he began performing numerous shows including multiple college campus appearances as well as being the opening act for artists such as Omarion, Soulja Boy, Trey Songz, and Drake. After a few key performances around college campus's Nathan took on the stage name "NaPalm" and began producing original songs himself. He releases his first mixtape "Offseason" with college friend and Chicago DJ, Dj Aris. His first mixtape gained him a little notoriety among the Chicago scene but it wasn't until he released his first EP "R.I.P 2 My Heart" when people really heard the potential in NaPalm. The 5 song EP highlighted personal relationship struggles NaPalm went through and wrote about. In April 2015, NaPalm released his second project called "Life As A Bachelor" playing off his first EP. He highlights the mental state of a young male in america after being turned cold through heart break. He is currently working on his third studio project which will be set to release spring 2016.

Measurables:
5’11” 192 pounds
4.34 40 yard dash,
13 bench press reps,
37″ vertical jump,
10’5″ broad jump
4.25 20 yd shuttle,
6.92 3 cone drill

Notes

Speedy, athletic player capable of making big plays
Pretty productive considering type of QB he played with
Phenomenal measurables
Any late round, unheralded receiver will be compared to Victor Cruz, but he has similar looking game
Pretty sure-handed
Potential to be a really dangerous return man

I mean he's gonna end up being nothing probably, but I'll get hyped any day about a kid who runs a 4.3 forty.

Side note - seems like Bill really wants a dangerous KR. The team has a few players who are good KRs, but he's now put Jalen Saunders plus this kid on the PS. Might just be signing a few potential guys and hoping one pans out.

Draft report claims he doesn't run crisp routes:

Palmer struggles to cleanly change directions at full speed and too often simply drifts into his routes on all areas of the field. On sharply breaking routes, he is too often forced to gear down in order to collect himself and, despite his "plus" burst, struggles to separate consistently out of his breaks because of it. He's at his best running more vertical routes where he can run through his breaks and accelerate.

I have to admit that I don't see how letting go of 5th and 6th rounders constitutes "major busts" as well.
Technically, Fleming was a 4th-rounder, 140th overall, though that was the last pick of the round.

I wasn't a fan of the Fleming pick anyway; we already had Vollmer & Cannonfodder as established right-side lineman, and I wanted to get more athletic on the line with an eye toward finding Mankins' eventual
replacement. I would have taken John Urschel there, and said so at the time.

However, there is no way - none, zip, zero, nada - that Bill can look anybody in the eye and say with a straight face that Khyri Thornton, or the Andrews junk, deserves a roster spot ahead of Fleming.

Maybe he is going to play the part of Antonio Brown in thIs weeks practice,

Andrews is here because they need another center with Stork still iffy and they want to use Wendell at guard. And BB always uses the last roster spot or two to tryout a new player this early in the season. Either Fleming or Thornton wouldn't suit up Thursday anyway so if Fleming is at the bottom of the roster what difference.
