Montee Ball?

Captain seems to loathe any player on the Patriots who is not an established, All-Pro level starter.

Captain simply loathes Belichick and believes he knows better despite having been wrong for a long long time. He's truly idiotic.

On a Kubiak squad non the less. Pretty much any old scrub back can star in that offense.

Kubiak was not there last year, he was busy getting a career year out of career backup Justin Forsett in Baltimore.

Talking about this preseason. CJ Anderson is going to have a ridiculous year if Peyton lets him.

You wouldn't be the first drawn in by the sirens that are Broncos running backs, but Anderson is largely talentless and will probably be a total disappointment and be replaced by some other no name by week 6. Juwan Thompson, or maybe it will be Ronnie Hillman for another go. Who cares? They all suck, and will put up numbers in the aggregate only because Demaryius Thomas gives defenses fits.

It's pretty hard to fail running for Kubiak. And I think he's already a pretty good back. Running in that system I'd be surprised if he's not pushing 5 ypc. Dunno how Kubiak/Shanny do it but they put together a hell of a running game regardless of the running back.

I don't buy the system argument at all. In Houston, he had Arian Foster, who is simply a very talented running back. Forsett ran surprisingly well but Ravens opponents had to account for the Jumpball Joe offense. Manning, who at the present makes Chad Pennington's arm look like Elway's, doesn't offer the same advantages. Sure, I think they'll benefit some from Demaryius Thomas, who's fantastic, but losing Julius Thomas is a much bigger blow than most are willing to grant it - he helped make Manning over the last couple years more than Manning made him.

I remember hearing that his work ethic is just not there. You can work with and around a lot of things. But when someone decides the work is too much, then there really is not much there to coach.

I don't know man they have a long history of getting it done with anybody. Just a couple of examples. Portis did well without him and Foster seems to too not sure if they still run Kubiak's system.

Shanny
Clinton Portis
Tatum Bell
Mike Bell
Travis Henry
Alfred Morris

Kubiak
Steve Slaton
Arian Foster
Justin Forsett

Oh I think we're probably on the same page. I think in the aggregate they'll be fine but I do express a lot of skepticism that it will be Anderson rather than Juwan Thompson or Ronnie Hillman or whomever. All basically interchangeable, all good for 1000 yards, all totally mediocre once it comes down to a single game.

By the way, you forgot Olandis Gary and Mike Anderson, as well as Terrell Davis though to be fair to TD he was actually exceptional.

Why the hate on Cadet? He hasn't even played a down for us yet
That's part of the problem, isn't it?
He has done absolutely feckin Nothing to deserve a spot on this team.
There were much, much better options than him in free agency & the draft.

And yes, I'm not a Montee Ball fan either, or a fan of any RB from the U of Wisconsin.

Zone-cut blocking.

Ball's a Wisconsin running back.

That should have been enough to damn him.

Sorry, James White, but we all know you'll never amount to anything either.

If James White and Melvin Gordon bust too I hope the NFL can finally conclude that Wisconsin OL makes Winsconsin RBs look way better than they are.

Maybe a ps spot
