so who is going to get the majority of the carries Thursday night?

whats the bigger concern, RB or WR situation this week?

1. Dion Lewis. 2. Brandon Bolden. 3. James White. Haven't seen Cadet in a while, but he was looking good on ST as a KR man.

We always go "spread" against the Steelers. They don't have enough good DBs, so make them put 5 or 6 on the field at the same time. I expect a ton of 5 wide. 4 wide 1 RB. Our TEs and small RBs will line up a lot as WRs, that could be where we see Cadet.

My biggest concern this week is on defense. Covering Brown, Wheaton, Miller. Getting pressure on Ben.

I'd say this is about spot on. And all of their receivers are burners. I don't know if any of our cornerbacks is known for speed. Their physically can, and hopefully will, be the great equalizer.

Yep. They'll survive running it 25 times with Lewis and Bolden splitting the carries. Maybe White gets a few if they are trying to milk it a little.

Not going to run much on the Steelers when we can beat up on their backfield (considered one of the worst, last year) as they try to transition from Lebeau's zone blitz to a cover 2. They have given up a few big plays in the preseason, something you almost never saw with Lebeau, so I expect us to exploit that.

They are unable to bring pressure, as they've shown in the preseason so no reason to expect Brady won't have a field day in the pocket.

PATS may not even run it 20 times.

I have a feeling like Cadet will have a somewhat decent role for Week 1. He was out for all 4 preseason games so he has likely been forgotten and it would be just like Bill to unwrap a "secret weapon" that the Steelers haven't game-planned for at all. Could see him moving Cadet back and forth from the backfield to out wide and confusing the Steelers D.

I think Lewis will be the most-utilized back overall. Unrelated but I think Cadet will be the starting KR and Harper will be the starting PR.

I guess except when we played them.;):p

Pitt can only hope to contain him.

There is already MVP discussion surrounding him.:p

Pouncey's out, so continually just send Collins, Hightower and Mayo through the middle on blitzes.

I remember the game against green Bay last year. Had real trouble getting pressure on Rodgers in the first half but then in the second half Patricia let Collins and Hightower blitz the A gap more and it worked really well. Both of those linebackers were always a threat when they blitzed up the middle. In other words, I agree.

They are really going to confuse the Steelers D when Garapolo starts. :)

James Develin's replacement might be Joey Iosefa, who is expected back in Foxboro this week, per source. Pats could need a FB vs. Bills.
Once again, some poor guy who thinks he made it may find himself unemployed next week.

I wonder what the base package will look like. I'm guessing

RB Lewis
TE Gronk
TE Chandler
WR Edelman
WR Amendola

Dobson seems likely to see quite a bit of playing time as well.

Exactly, remember Moss was also out of preseason. Over/Under 20 TDs for Cadet. ;)

Bolden will see a lot..but i see a lot more passing with 4TD from Brady

in Pitt game u dont need RB,
Dobson with 2 TD, Gronk 1TD, Chandler 1TD, Lewis 1 TD/catch, etc

Lol, maybe "secret weapon" is too dramatic of a term, but I do think Bill will take advantage of using a unique player that the opponent likely has not game-planned for.

I'm calling it...Cadet has 50 catches in this offense.
