Apologies to everyone. If u were eating when u were exposed to that img I will refund your meal. Taking it down.

Ok now here's my mailing address...:D

Whoever thinks Dobson was at fault for the int against Carolina is stupid. Dobson caught the ball, Tillman then hit it out, Dobson caught it again with tillmans arm over his, then as he went to the ground Tillman had the leverage with his arm to just pull it out. No fault on Dobson. Throw was behind from Brady but Tillman made that int. sometimes it happens.

Didn't see the game, but I saw the highlights and he bobbled another catch and immediately went to the ground.

Why can't he just make a normal catch and run? Everytime the ball is thrown his way he bobbles it and then falls to the ground.

True but did you see some of the passes from Lindley? Eeek.

Lindley is...uh...well..hard to describe...bad HS QB maybe? he did hit Dobson in the hands with a 15 yarder or so right in front of Tunes and I tonight...and of course he bobbled it...I think he's one of those receivers that needs to get a rhythm going in a game...there's just always some odd thing out of place with this guy every game...

He's got the yips.

He can't catch a pass clean. That's psychological, not physical. Either get him to a sports psychologist or cut him. Either way's fine with me.

I think he looked good last night. Honestly, I've never liked the Reggie Wayne signing because it impedes Dobson's development, and after watching the two last night, you gotta develop this guy over playing a 36 year old Wayne.

If it weren't for the double-clutching thing, he'd have a legitimate chance of pushing for top 3 WR snaps. His route running is much improved.

I do have one other question for people who have played WR. Is it me or would someone like Torrey Smith have done a better job at adjusting on the underthrown deep pass? It appeared to me that Dobson had enough time to slow up. At the same time, I don't want to discount the possibility that the two defenders right behind may have been pushing him forward.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I don't think the double clutching will be any sort of long term issue. It's totally a mental thing, it could be something as simple as the stress of catching balls from 3 quarterbacks.

I'm not the most experienced reciever so I will defer to someone else who wants to throw their opinion out there, but yes Smith would have probably slowed down and high pointed the football there. It would have been a tough play, but those decisions need to be made quickly, and being able to judge wether it should be high pointed or continue to run just comes with experience.

he totally has the yips.

It's like a golf swing. Hes totally over thinking everything. Just needs to be natural and relax.

Question is can he overcome this.

I agree and playing for his job with three different quarterbacks might have gotten into his head a little bit. I also agree that it could go either way at this point. The best thing for him right now would be a nice 5 catch 100 yard performance next Thursday. Confidence is everything playing the reciever position and having success with the starting quarterback in a regular season game would go a long way to helping him grow.

NEP I would take 2 catches for 50yds him keeping the Safeties honest.

Totally agree. Hes going to get his opportunitys too. Doesn't look like Lafell is ready to go and Wayne is not up to speed yet. I say he starts at the X on opening night and balls are coming his way. Anything other than dropped balls or him getting injured will go a long way. He just needs to put last year behind him and he needs some success before Lafell is back to not get buried on the depth chart.

Dobson does not go after the ball aggressively, too often fights the ball when it arrives, and seems to go down earlier than necessary. I have not studied his blocking but his lack of physicality is worrisome. For these reasons, I don't think he currently looks like a great WR. But his competition is an undrafted FA and I doubt Dobson would make it to PS because of his draft position. Harper is smaller but seems more natural catching the ball and is more of a fighter. Tough call for me on Harper vs Dobson, because I have seen so little of Harper, but what I have seen I like and Dobson plays soft, which does not appeal. I hope Lafell is healthy and neither plays much.
