Jonathan Kraft: Patriots will pursue reinstating Jast and McNally

I don't give a rat's *** if they are allowed to return or not. I want NE to make the request so that - if/when it is denied - the league will be further exposed. The haters won't care. But the internet is large. And there will be plenty of people to find this and point this out.

Make the NFL go on the record.

If the Kraft's want to regain some dignity, they should offer to pay for any defamation suit, money talks Bulls!it walks.

Oh god please tell me Bob has let Johnathan take a larger role. First the dorito dinks and next the picks. Why are people saying they stole gear BTW? I didn't see anything in the text that said that.

I doubt they will have a short list of lawyers willing to take that case for a % of the winnings.

I don't see how the Patriots have a shot when they admitted to adhering to the Wells report.
The best scenario: Patriots ask NFL, NFL says no
Jast and McNally both separately sue for defamation (Jonathon should personally pay laywers fees cause Bobby aint doing it)
Internal NFL and Wells report communications get released
Whole thing is proven (to those who still don't believe) investigation was a sham, scientific evidence was a sham, etc.
Jast and McNally win
Bobby finally sacks up and asks for his draft pick back, NFL has no legit reason left ot leave the punishment intact.

Only way punishment is going away is if internal nfl communications come out, and if Wells report communications/notes come out -- only way that's happening is a defamation suit

Under what legal agreement does the NFL dictate hiring or not hiring of specific personnel? Do the teams really grant that authority to the League?

The thing I like about this move is that one of the big arguments of proof that Brady cheated from the from the uninformed haters is "Why did the Patriots fire them?!?!"

They should at the very least be able to hire them as long as they do not serve in their past jobs.
Surely there are other jobs available to these men in the organization at the same salary or better
to make up for loss of salary.

Special assistants to the VP of Operations, at a salary of $100K.

Something is brewing here....

I would like to hear Deus or some other smart person on legal matters weigh in, but could this be an attempt to make sure that the Patriots aren't among the defendants (i.e., the bad guys) in the lawsuit of Jastremski and McNally?

....this is a little more cynical than usual for me, but I have been really disappointed that the Krafts (evidently) aren't going after the Patriot lost draft picks, as I would have hoped.

The Patriots should hire them back and the ball is then in the NFL's court to make a decision. Popcorn anyone?"

Reinstating McNally is a trial balloon.

If the NFL denies them the chance to make a living I see another court case coming.

I would think they would have a very strong case for a lawsuit. I hope they file lawsuits before next week's game and
Kraft has them in his booth as special guests. What a great f u to the league.
