Now that #FreeBrady is no longer needed, and #NoBradyNoBanner is not needed, its time to turn the focus on the other injustice and do what is needed to get the draft picks back

What other commish will NOT suck ? At least this one is an idiot - and gets pounded in court.

McNair shows us the owners are bumbling fools and will have a loser at the commish spot regardless at this point. (But yes, it'd be fun to see RG burn. Very fun. )

NFL doesn't even need a commissioner - fire Goodell, then hire an outside firm to handle punishments and a token HugMaster for the draft.

Lots of possible replacements would not suck. Past guys Rozelle and Tagliabue had his power without being insufferable MORONS prone to abusing that power. Now the office is going to be somewhat neutered, a good thing.

The owners need to fumigate the place and remove a lot MORE than just Goodell, though.

Goodell makes Gary Bettman look skilled.

Goodell combines the deer-in-the-headlights look of Bettman, the buffoon-level decision making of Bud Selig, and the underhanded conspiracy work of David Stern. He's basically all the worst parts of pro sports commissioners spliced into one, bumble-****ing package. Scientists tried to create the perfect leader through genetics in a lab, and the ooze they scraped off the chamber floor afterwards grew up to be Roger Goodell.

FWIW, Tampa Bay Times writer agrees (hopefully more of this is to come):

"In football terms, this was more than just a loss. This was a blowout, a rout, an upset of historic proportions.

This was an embarrassment.

In the game of Deflategate, not only did Patriots quarterback Tom Brady beat NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, he ran up the score.

What happens when you're on the wrong end of a blowout? What happens when you continually get embarrassed?

You lose your job. You get fired.

Time for Goodell to go."

Peter King on PTI now. Says he still thinks 90% of owners support NFL. There are maybe 3 owners--he doesn't know exactly which ones, but has his suspicions--who think that Goodell is guilty of consistent overreach and needs to be reined in, but the vast majority still support what he's doing.

How the worm has turned. Could not be more elated today.

In terms of qualifications to be a commissioner of a major sports league, Bettman is highly qualified and blows Goody out of the water. Law degrees, Business degrees. Architected the NBA salary cap, etc.

Popularity wise he won't win a lot of points for sure.

One thing he is smart at...he stays the hell away from discipline.

The NFL would be best served to hire David Stern.

Who is the 3rd owner? We know Kraft and Benson are the other two.

Rooney would be my guess. The Steelers were the lone organization that voted against the last CBA, allegedly because they were concerned that it gave Goodell too much power.

I wish his name was Roger Goodell III.

Opps, apologies to Robert Griffin

Sound like a good guess.

Well, then those silly little old men can watch as they destroy the NFL they claim to love so much.
Duh. They will publicly support him right up until the day they fire him.
What do you expect owners to leak that they are unhappy with the commissioner?
What would that gain?

I guess we don't know what support RG has, but if Kraft went to bat over Ray Rice, the commish support can't be that solid going into today. This decision has to have shaken that support.
