More so now though. They just got publicly emasculated in Federal Court and they have to be looking for blood as a way to get revenge or prove that the Patriots are cheaters........
I still say that every NFL official at Gillette should be given a 24/7 escort while on the premises, for their own protection of course......
Look at what just happened. The NFL, without any direct evidence, just handed down the worst punishment in the history of the league for something, that even if true, would warrant a fine of less than 10K. When BB did his Mona Lisa Vito presser, he said flat out that they go out of their way to avoid even coming close to pushing the rules. It's been like this for 9 years. The only difference is that today, it is in the open.

I wonder how all the children feel today?

Brady's first presser will be a masterful Belichickian stroke of non-information or a body slam for the league office. I hope for the later, but expect the former.

That's why we really dodged a bullet by avoiding a Belichick suspension.

After what the Pats have been through in this sorry mess, that's like saying Bonnie and Clyde dodged a bullet:

I will step up and admit that, when this happened to the Saints, my reaction was "Ha! Now you see what it feels like to be ****ed over by the NFL. You didn't help us when we needed it, so you're not getting any sympathy from me now! Deal with it!"

I now regret taking that position, even though I fully understand why I did so.
I felt empathy for the saints when that happened, goodell was screwing them for something thats been going on for a long time. SPayton probably knew nothing about it but was suspended a year. My other thought and i posted it here was now another team has been fked over by goodell, and the fans and owner will realized he has to go.

The next big thing is whether or not the NFL asks CA2 for an expedited appeal and whether or not CA2 grants it.

If CA2 refuses to grant it, then any worries about Brady getting suspended late in the year or during the playoffs will go away, because on a non-expedited basis there is no way CA2 decides this before the playoffs are over. (And even on an expedited basis they may not.)

It's being reported on ESPN that the NFL is unlikely to ask for it. But even if they did ask for it, no way they get it.

It's more like getting shot 5 or 6 times but somehow dodging the fatal bullet. Point well taken, though. Hard to feel victorious in getting slightly-less-unwarrantedly-screwed-over.

Eddie George calls Tom Brady a 'cheater,' says Patriots 'above the law' http://dlvr.it/C36MMR
WTF...now the federal judge in new york is also favoring the pats. ? The team has already lost - 1st round pick, money . but still this crap is spewed by former players

I saw Eddie George take a lot of hits to the head over the years.

He's still ahead of Steve McNair in their friendly race to the bottom, though.

Who got their bets in yesterday.
Pittsburg line has moved from -3 to -7.
Volatility is opportunity

Michael McCann will be on Dale & Holley at 2:30 pm.

It should be interesting. I'll try to get this thing read by then.

Sickest Deflate-gate burns by Judge Berman

2. When Judge Berman simply bolded the NFL's own admission that the Wells Report didn't prove anything, rather than rewrite it.

"At the same time, the Wells Report acknowledged that "[o]ur scientific consultants informed us that the data alone did not provide a basis for them to determine with absolute certainty whether there was or was not tampering, as the analysis of such data is ultimately dependent upon assumptions and information that is uncertain.'"

Won't the NFL's appeal involve discovery? Are those investigation documents going to see the light of day? If that happens, how much more hanky-panky and manipulation of evidence do you suppose is yet to come out? That's what Tedy's hoping for!!

We're all sick of this, but it seems to me the NFL could bring even more abuse on itself by appealing. For their own good, they ought to let this one die a quiet death. Maybe they drop their appeal down the road when fans are focused elsewhere.

No, this will be about the record of the 8-12, 8-19 hearings & the published decision.

The NFL is f'd.

Don't see how CA2 could possibly reverse Berman's decision with the way he crafted it, which was quite frankly, brilliant. It's centerpiece argument premised on "lack of notice" (and consequently flawed due process) is not something CA2 is going to reverse because that would be a violation of Federal labor law as far as "workplace fairness."

Can only laugh at the people who pound the table that Brady cheated. Why because the nfl wrote a report that said he did? Where is their proof, I mean they don't even have strong circumstantial evidence other than Brady destroying a phone he was not legally required to hand over, yet still handed over what wells and the nfl said they wanted to look at.

Hell there is more proof that Rodgers cheats than there is that Brady does.

If I were the 2nd Circuit, I'd tell the NFL to pound salt if they asked for an expedited appeal: THIS IS A DUMB CASE

BTW: You and many others have been a great source through all this. Thanks

No, need either Brady, McNally or Jastremski to file suit for defamation etc.... or Kraft to go to court on penalties. McNally or Jastremski have the easiest course as they are not public figures, have been accused of being part of a conspiracy that updated science and statistics said had a .4% chance of happening.

Their discovery would include all the bad apples, they electronic communications, phone calls etc... Goodell, Pash, Wells, Exponent, Princeton guy, Kensil, Vincent.

Kraft needs to ask permission to reinstate now. Let the NFL decline.

Yup, ask to have McNally & Jastremski reinstated, see what the NFL does.

Also if they wants to sue for defamation Kraft should foot the bill. Step up Bob defend your franchise.
