"I think Roger is doing a wonderful job. Today's decision shows that the NFL has the most fairminded and reasonable commissioner in all of sports" - The next owner to speak publicly other than Robert Kraft
Actually Kraft would express disappointment with Goodells underlings for not serving him well.

Page 31 seems to clarify why Feely was interviewed by the court.

Goodell claimed that this incident was different from the 2009 Jets K-ball incident because in that incident there was no evidence of player involvement. As it turns out, there was no evidence of player involvement because Feely was never investigated in the first place. Basically, Goodell was arguing "this is different because we didn't find any evidence of investigation by players that we never investigated in the first place because we didn't care".

Looks like the court didn't take too fondly to that.

Anyone else having trouble getting anything done at work today?
Very slow go at work today. I'm off tomorrow, DVR'ing the Pats/Giants game to watch over the weekend. Haven't smiled this much since 2/1/15 when we won the SB.

19-0 now? I wouldn't count it out of the realm of possibility. A pissed off Brady is damn near unstoppable

I read the findings, I'm ecstatic about the decision, obviously, but I am still cautiously optimistic because although it sounds like Berman ruled an almost total victory for Brady, the Lester Munson in me (eww), wonders if a higher court could effectively negate all Berman's findings by championing article 46. As in, they won't need to refute each point Brady won on, just back the NFL's sole argument.

So, I read the Berman decision. I found that Berman was actually nice to the Commissioner by not confirming the following:

"Brady also argues that "prior to serving as hearing officer, the Commissioner publicly lauded the reliability of the Wells Report [which was conducted by NFL retained counsel]- the issue at the very heart of Brady's appeal." This "locked him into supporting the Wells Report and rendered him incapable of reaching a contrary conclusion in Brady's appeal, as doing so would undermine his own competency as Commissioner"

Berman showed that in court, imho..

Yeah, that's the one thing that kinda bums me out. I wish Berman had made some kind of decision re: Goodell's evident partiality. Establishing that in a federal court decision would've had some strong ramifications, I think.

Got Brady in the 5th round of my office fantasy draft (got Matt Ryan in the 4th)... so I have some serious trade chips in Matty Ice now
I am playing fantasy for the first time in forever, because of family asking me to. (Still hate it)
Got Brady in ROUND 1 and GRONK in round 2. Think i got other guys too, lol

I heard a few times that the NFL has been dragged through the mud for 8 months regarding this. I say, that's total untrue. the only mud they got was once Judge Berman (forever known as JFB by me) was involved.

and seeing how I'm a fair minded person, I think we need atleast 3.5 months of additional coverage and some deep investigative reporting on the facts of this case and to expose the NFL and all their motivations for going as far as they did. I want Kraft to lead the charge.

Roger Cossack reduced to arguing that Article 46 does nor require Goodell to be fair and there is no fairness required in the essence of the agreement. That's sure to make the NFL look good.
Gotta love watching desperate idiots flailing around!

Berman clearly believes that Goodell isn't impartial, but not ruling on that aspect prevents it from being an avenue to overturn.

Peter King
Ben Volin (we hate him already)
Felger and Mazz (ditto)
Shannon Sharpe
Mark Brunell (who cares)
all of ESPN except Reiss and Bruschi (who can now finally return, I hope)
Dan Patrick
50% of Tom Curran (he played both sides whenever he saw fit)
Curran should be in the opposite of this thread..

Goodell 0-5 in Court in arbitration cases when arbitration cases win like 97% of the time. 100% losses. Says a lot about the NFL and it's dictatorship.**** you Goodell.

Um, Kraft just lost this case.
It was NFL (Kraft +31) vs Brady
